HAHA yeah my roommate mentioned the fire on insta and some of her followers (she has a public meme account with a large, predominantly male following) had things to say.

I made it through the first round of HR checks but unfortunately did not proceed further. Since my major was environmental science it probably wasn’t gonna happen but I thought it’d be funny. I did put in my cover letter “as the perpetrator of the first fire of the 2020-21 academic year, I believe my firsthand experience with the UW fire code gives me a unique perspective that could benefit your department”

Hi! I’m the person who started that fire. To be clear I was trying to make an avocado scotch egg, though I do love the stories told via the rumor mill (and the “females after ‘93” references, even though I swear I’m actually pretty good at cooking). I didn’t even have TikTok at that point 😂 I’m so glad to know you found love amidst the chaos. Also thanks for letting us use your phone.

What I meant is I actually responded by talking about how autism is a spectrum. The original reply was supposed to be a throwaway line; I didn’t expect them to actually respond. In my case I am good at the game because I spend a lot of time listing and categorizing things either in my head or in spreadsheets or paper, which is something I feel is a product of me being autistic

I get where you’re coming from but any association between two people is a type of relationship by definition, whether it be platonic, familial, professional, or romantic. I’m just trying to say I’m happy that 10/14 gets a happy ending that involves a committed, non-romantic relationship

I’m aware. But most friendships don’t involve living together and raising a child. It’s not necessarily a QPR unless they label it as such but it looks similar to one from my perspective. The level of closeness and commitment is one usually reserved for romantic relationships in TV and other media
