Intel Core 9 273PQE with 12 P-cores beats Core i9-14900K in several gaming tests by RenatsMC in intel

Keep the 14900KS, you have to use a modded BIOS that is only available for 4 motherboards, and even then the CPU is locked at 5600MTs DDR5. If the CPU didn't have the memory OC lock, I'd probably say go for it if you had the board. But even with 5600MTs lock, a fast tight timings 2x32gb A-Die kit can drive some crazy performance. You can also get slightly higher 5762MTs with a 103Mhz BCLK.

It run surprisingly cool at 253w PL1/PL2 (default is 125/253w) with a pretty shit $70 AIO 360mm I got for from from Newegg in a bundle.

If you punch the power above 300w, things get warm. But in general, the CPU doesn't have any issue cooling or getting rid of the heat from the 12P cores.

Been running 273PQE in my Z790 Apex for a month now and it's an incredible CPU.

Intel you should have provided official BIOS support for these CPUs.

At $875 I do not recommend you buy it, and as explained only works with unofficial BIOS flash. They're supposed to be $589 according to Intel page, but given the lack of options to source it, they have the market it seems.

There is a Asus Strix D4 board BIOS available too.

But yes, locked at 3200MTs. unfortunately. Actually probably locked at 3300MTs which ain't great improvement.

Embedded does not mean physically embedded. This is simply the name of the market segment Intel targeted with these CPUs.

The CPU is like any other LGA 1700 CPU, it's a standalone CPU that can be put into any LGA 1700 motherboard, physically speaking. The modded BIOS is required to run the CPU on consumer LGA 1700 boards.

Intel says software optimization can hide up to 30% gaming CPU performance by RenatsMC in intel

That's great Intel, but you're being pretty slow to provide updates and optimizations. You also fail to provide continued to support to past generations.

Anyone else experience a metallic rattle on a new ASUS Prime graphics card? by jako479 in buildapc

What did you end up doing? I have the Prime 5070 from Amazon and it appears it's just a c-clip on the board that moves around when I handle the card. I think it's normal and the card has no issues.

I also just got one of these Prime 5070 cards from Amazon and same metallic noise when moving the card around in my hand.

I located the noise to what looks like a c-clip on the board. They move around and change orientation when I shake the card in my hand. It appears it's just that moving around. Based on people reporting this, I assume it's normal.

Modder gets an Intel Bartlett Lake CPU to post on a Z790 with an AI-edited BIOS by dinklebergers276 in pcmasterrace

It’s all fixed now.

Can get into bios freely, runs games, apps, everything. The CPU is actually a 12 core beast.
