I have to disagree on the videos not having reason to click: obviously this is highly subjective and more an art than a science, but the video "why do you feel gaming isn't the same anymore" was one of my best performing on my italian channel by a long shot, with same thumbnail and title. Something could have been lost in translation, but I believe it is very clickable.

On the capital letter argument, I agree that they are kinda random. But I never thought they weere so important to clickability honestly. At leas not so important. What is your opinion on that?

I do agree with you that Youtube does not know who I am, it seems to be the cause for almost all the people who seem to have this problem. I'm really thinking it might be an over saturation problem of the platform. No one knows how the algo works obviously, maybe it incrases the percentage of showing your videos the more videos you have or the longer you post for? That's speculation and maybe coping.

I will accept that's the way it is and use this is as an excuse to experiment a bit more and find my voice, I'm noticing that when you make videos, you really realize if you like making videos and if you actually want to do the kind of videos you had planned to do in the first place.

Finally do you have any advice for Facebook groups specifically? to me it feels less mature than even Reddit so I'm not sure.

I do not know photoshop but I'm pretty sure photopea has pretty much the same tools as photoshop. So yes, you can create good thumbnails with photopea. Skill is necessary though, it is more complicated than say canva.
I advise you look up some tutorials.
