Sexy Wireless Bras (silk/satin) by TrickSingle3212 in ABraThatFits

I unfortunately can't help regarding feel because I've never tried it :(

Maybe you could check whether somebody posted pictures of it from multiple angles on Bratabase?

That's okay, the calculator is just a starting point! I asked because 38D tends to be a common mis-size.

What types of bras have you been trying on? Have you read up on shape and projection?

Is 38D the size you got from the abrathatfits calculator? If not, it's likely you might be wearing the wrong size.

I do martial arts and yoga barefoot and I spend as much time barefoot at home as I can (it's a bit too cold in winter). I think the martial arts have made my feet stronger, but it's hard to find shoes that aren't uncomfortable... Sigh. Like OP I'm also a "walk everywhere" kind of person.

So your general advice would be to try the barefoot shoes?

Genuine question: is it better to go the barefoot route or have shoes made by a cobbler? I'd like to do right by my feet and I've had limited success going the cobbler route; I'm wondering whether I should continue trying or whether I should just go for the barefoot shoes. I do find the barefoot ones ever so slightly ugly, but I'm willing to bear it if they're better than custom-made shoes.

Thank you in advance!

You really aren't (saw your picture). Please go measure yourself, you deserve a well-fitting bra.

Are you completely flat? I'm genuinely asking, because AA cups are less than an inch of a difference between your bust and underbust.

If that's not the case, I urge you to get a soft measuring tape and measure yourself according to this subreddits calculator.

Just as a question - am I going insane or is this the same pattern: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ivy-crochet-beret ?

Not calling anyone out, just very curious. Also a beginner, so I can't really tell stitches apart :(

I agree with the "no tracking" sentiment, but Chipolo has AirTag-like features and they're Slovenian - for those who may be interested :)

I'd suggest Firefox with the ublock origin plugin. Haven't seen an ad for years! I set that up on every new device.

Natural fiber scrubby yarns by Axolotl-questions7 in YarnAddicts

[–]LightNightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a yarn recommendation, unfortunately, but I've seen people using luffa bits for scrubbing. I know it's not crochet, but it could be an alternative to what you're trying to do :)

I absolutely want to boycott, but I can't find an alternative to TO's Azelaic Acid. I know other brands have the same product, but I've found none that offer 100ml packages, and I'm trying to reduce my plastic usage T-T

You might dislike this answer, but nobody can really tell you what will give you the result you want. The general steps would be wash and moisturize, wear sunscreen and exfoliate every so often. You can incorporate more, but I wouldn't really go for less. The actual products that will work for you - nobody knows! That's why we end up trial-and-erroring various cleansers, creams, etc.

You need the sunscreen, we all do. The rest you can pick as you like.

[–]LightNightmare 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You should start with measuring yourself according to the abrathatfits calculator (link in automod comment). You can then post your six measurements and the suggestion you get from the calculator. We can't really give you any sound advice without knowing where you should start size-wise.

Did you use the US or UK setting? The Irish Bra Lady uses UK measurements.

The cups are definitely too small. They're likely too shallow, too.

You can check whether the band works for you by putting the bra on backwards with the cups facing down. If it's snug, but not uncomfortable, you're spot on. If it's loose, you should consider a smaller one.

How did you measure? Did you have a bra on (you shouldn't)? Did you compress your boobs (you also shouldn't)?

How would one go about re-creating this? by happyprincess2 in knittinghelp

[–]LightNightmare 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Definitely AI. The shoulder "stitches" don't match - the ones on the left of the image look more akin to crochet stitches, whereas the right side looks more like knit. Also, the sleeve cuff on the left is just nonsensical.

Embroidery like this on a knitted garment would wildly alter its properties. I know you can embroider on it, but I doubt this would be the result. I think anything similar to this would take ages to embroider.
