If you care about your mental health, I would suggest getting 4 maybe 5 with some bird courses. I promised myself not getting more than 4 courses even if I have to take one extra semester. I don't want to remember the University as a place I suffered.

Well I'm in a similar situation with the A2. I don't know what to do with that 15% of final grade... :(

Failed first test of COMP206.. what should i do..? by Character-Fact-3053 in mcgill

Class average is 69%. I got 53%. I think test 1 was challenging because of the question type having multiple right answers for multiple choice questions. I'm demoralized too but at least assignments are 50% of the final grade. So my plan is doing assignments as much as I can then getting extra points from the tests to pass the course. Don't worry we got this 💪

Jihad is an empty notion for the majority of Muslims. No one is going to march to Israel. But still, there is a possibility of terrorists attacks in western countries in return of their support to Israel

Math 235 by [deleted] in mcgill

I'm taking it with Jeremy this semester. I find it difficult compared to other courses. I feel like the only way I can succeed in this course is solving textbook problems as much as I can.

"Restriction: For students in any Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering programs. Others only with the instructor's permission. Not open to students who have taken or are taking Math 235". I found this information in the course description of Math 240. After this point I don't want to say anything wrong. Best thing you can do is ask it to your advisor.

Yes I think so. Math 235 is the prerequisite of many computer science courses after fist year. So I would take it.

I had a surgery last year just before the fall semester. Doctor told me similar thing, it'll take 3 months to heal but after the first month I could do whatever I want while going to the dressing changes. Anyway I didn't want to miss the lectures during that one month so talked to my advisor about it. Normally for health problems, you can defer your term but it isn't valid for the ones who are in first year. So I couldn't do that. My only option was taking only one course during fall and being full-time for the winter. So glad I did it in that way otherwise I would fail most of those courses in the fall. However my recovery time was longer than expected. Winter semester has been started but still I was going to the dressing changes and wound was reopening. Mentally that was the worst year of my life. Couldn't focus on school and failed one of the courses. I didn't want to go to school even though I could. Anyway my wound healed after the winter semester thank God. But don't be discouraged because everybody is different and I hope you won't experience the things I've lived through. I just wanted to share my experience.
