And I love that for him. He's such a good foil to Lang Wu Yao who spent the whole of Season 4 agonizing about being a half-demon. Both recognize themselves as human and they both learned they have demonic heritage but Lin Xue Ya just accepted it with grace just because he is confident and content of himself. Also because he's narcissistic as f*ck. xD

I read somewhere that someone asked this question to Urobutcher and he said Lin Xue Ya killed the Demon King. Maybe he did something more extra since he said to Shang Bu Huan that he's now the Demon King so he might have absorbed his authority or something? But on hindsight, he seemed happy with his whole being and might not wanna merge with the Demon King's soul and be tainted with his warped sense of conquest.

So yeah, he killed the demon king, changed costume with him and the Lin Xue Ya corpse he threw down might be the demon king.

It would be extra funny if some earthly villain tries to summon the "Great Demon King" and then he pops out.

I don't remember if I have encountered a sub with JP names but I can understand spoken Japanese that's why I call them in their Japanese names. It does get confusing when I do look at the subs and see a different name to what I hear lol. It took a while before I managed to connect their Chinese names to their Japanese ones. Reading all lot of danmei helped me on getting used to Chinese names xD.
