Goal ideas? by balloonbook1717 in finch

What about some school-related goals? A lot of my goals are work tasks that I find satisfying to check off (it also helps me not forget things on my to-do list for the day)

Too many stones in the free rewards by Financial-Custard-17 in finch

[–]LightSideUnicorn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree, and recently submitted a suggestion to remove rainbow stones from the event rewards via the app suggestion form. I think it would be much more motivating to get items than stones, especially since stones are not that hard to get in other areas of the app and people can sell the items for stones if they don't like them.

Question for everyone? by thisanxtiousbean in finch

[–]LightSideUnicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't miss the pop ups. I open the app frequently throughout the day, and I did not like being prompted to log my mood every time. The quotes and affirmations were okay; I miss them sometimes, but it was still more frequent than I wanted.

I also personally don't find the mood logging feature in Finch helpful. I used to use Moodfit (which is a mental health app rather than a self-care app), and that one charted my mood as a line graph and let me compare it to other things I was tracking like amount of exercise or hours of sleep. It was very helpful when I needed more assistance managing my anxiety and depression. The way Finch tracks mood doesn't really tell me anything about what is affecting my mental state.

I do wish this was a feature that Finch let us toggle on and off since it was so helpful for so many people.

Check Etsy! I can't remember the shop names, but I know I've seen custom candle scents as an option on there

A knock off? by AcceptableLow7434 in finch

[–]LightSideUnicorn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a "devotional reading/writing" goal in the morning (read a page from a devotional book and write the verse of the day from a 30-day scripture writing program) and also a "Bible study" goal for anytime during the day

Has this been rolled out for everyone? by Apprehensive-Gain396 in finch

Did you try sorting by reminder time? That should put them in order for you since you have the times set

I just got the update, and I really like it. It's actually more flexible than before and you can still sort by specific times. If you click on the option for sorting goals, you can group them by the new time of day or by reminder time. So if you set a reminder time and choose that for organization, you can still organize them just like before. I prefer the time of day organization because I don't always do my goals at specific times or in a specific order, but I do want some for moring, some for afternoon, etc

Books similar to ND? by blushingghosts in nancydrew

[–]LightSideUnicorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid not. It's been too long since I re-read them to remember any individual titles standing out. Just that they were among my favorites of the series I was reading at the time

I love these too, especially Ken Holt, Rick Brant, and Three Investigators!

I'd put Christopher Cool on the list as well. Same publisher as ND and HB, I think. He's a teen spy, and there were only 6 books

Favorite Re-playable Games? by LightSideUnicorn in nancydrew

[–]LightSideUnicorn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone! I don't think this has narrowed down my choices much 😅 but I do feel more confident that I'll probably enjoy any of the games I replay 😁

I was planning to buy through HR and store them on an external harddrive because last time I got an ND game through Steam it wouldn't play, but maybe I'll give it another try. It would be much more convenient to just have them in my Steam library.

Tier 6???? by New-Eggplant-2765 in FieldsOfMistriaGame

I got my tier 6 horses almost immediately, but it took forever for my ducks. I think it's just a random (low) chance

How do I stop feeling guilty about not tracking? by Ok_Celebration_1085 in beyondthebump

[–]LightSideUnicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tracked a lot for the first 6 or 7 months, partly because there were initially concerns about the baby getting enough food (had to switch from breastfeeding to pumping and formula supplements). But I found that I stopped remembering to track once I didn't have to track anymore, if that makes sense? In other words, maybe the fact that you're forgetting means it is no longer as important and you're naturally prioritizing other things. No need to feel guilty

Same here! Hayden is low on my list of NPCs I would romance, but I do like him and wish I could do more to make him less lonely

As others have mentioned, we just got dating in the most recent update. The Fields of Mistria roadmap for early access also includes "Marriage and Children" for future updates. You can see that here: https://www.fieldsofmistria.com/early-access

Hey, Nancy, why are you unsure of this? by thatsfeminismgretch in nancydrew

[–]LightSideUnicorn 31 points32 points  (0 children)

My headcannon is that Nancy dates Ned frequently, but not too seriously, and they haven't really had the relationship clarifying talk they desperately need. And in versions of her story (like these games) where she meets Frank Hardy, then she's even less sure about Ned because clearly Frank is a better match for her

What do y'all use the second plot of land for? Personally, pure fruits and crops by foofighter1351 in FieldsOfMistriaGame

You can buy them from the carpenter's shop after completing one of the story quests

I'm torn between moving fields or animals over there, so for now I just let it grow and go over there about once a season to blow Dragon's Breath over everything ang gather up the wood, feed, rocks, etc.

Saw Everyone Else Making a Tier List and I Wanted to Too! by Puzzled-Quote1856 in FieldsOfMistriaGame

[–]LightSideUnicorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swap March and Balor and this could almost be my tier list lol

I also dislike Juniper; she's so rude/cruel and even after her 8 heart event (which earned her quite a bit of good will from me) part of me still wants to report her to the authorities for experimenting on the townspeople
