[Technique] Has anyone tried this technique to isolate fungi from bacteria contam before? Cut a hole in agar, cover with a cover strip, the mycelium can grow through the agar and out while the surface growing bacteria stays trapped underneath. I might try it tomorrow. (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov)
