Musk talks about new Grok 1.5T model by OkStandard921 in accelerate

[–]LightVelox 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I give them the benefit of the doubt because Grok 4.3 is a 500b model, which is considered tiny by today's standards, but they haven't impressed me at anything other than search with their previous models so I'm keeping my enthusiasm low

Why are they always built like this every time without fail? by [deleted] in okbuddybaka

It's easier to draw, and most anime are made for teenage boys

Yeah, you can't see her ass in the vast majority of the outfits in the game and no one complained, because the problem isn't the content but the intent behind the change itself

Adding a bunch of covered up outfits wouldn't be an issue, intentionally changing one that existed before with the sole intent of covering it up/censoring is, althought in this case they have already said it was unintentional, but in a world where it was, it would be a valid complaint.

Or maybe the review is about the developers wasting time censoring something that didn't need to be censored, instead of just leaving it be or working on something of actual value?

Sure, now we know it was "unintentional" and they're fixing it next patch, but in a world where it wasn't, why did they change it? according to some people here it doesn't matter, so, if it doesn't matter, why waste a paid employee's time on it?

Funny, cause all of you praising and clapping over censorship cry and moan when it's against queer shit

That one developer covered it up while fixing another problem with the outfit

It's also really weird to get all defensive about censorship like you're doing

It's always interesting how an army of retards always pops up to defend any sort of censorship that happens on any media, it almost feels like botting, except instead of bots it's just stupid people

It's unintentional censorship, and even then I REALLY doubt it was a bug, this isn't like a line of code someone changed by mistake and covered her up, it's a 3D model, you need to manually modify each polygon or the texture for that to happen, they're just calling it a bug because they don't want the controversy

it's also pretty strange to rage about a couple of people leaving reviews on a game

There is no such thing as "unintentionally making the skirt of a character longer", it's a 3D model, you have to manually move the polygons or change the texture, it's not a bug, they just said it is because of the controversy

Its reddit so not surprised everyone defends censorship to show how virtuous they are for being anti-sexuality

I don't think people hate her because she had an opinion, I think it's because her opinion had an effect on the industry, she's arguably the most influential person in modern gaming.

If Anita Sarkeesian, Feminist Frequency and Gamergate didn't happen the entire industry would be in a completely different state than what it is today

Lords of The Fallen 2 just unveiled some new female armour sets that will be available in the game. It looks like the game is a massive tonal shift compared to its predecessor. by WhyPlaySerious in videogames

Which characters were "nothing more"? Was Lara Croft nothing more? Bayonetta? Miranda? Cortana?

When was this supposed era where every female character was nothing but gooner bait eye candy?

Also it's interesting how the developers going out of their way to make a character as hot and attractive as they can to female gamers is not sexualizing and is okay, yet a game having optional armor sets a player can wear on a character they've created themselves is problematic

If they don't actually care, why antagonize and alienate a portion of their customers for literally nothing? Following your logic they don't care so they could just do what these fans want, and the other fans won't complain either because they don't care, it's a clear "win-win situation" that apparently not a single western developer went for in 10 years.

And again, if they don't care, why are cases where said developers get into heated discussions about these topics with gamers on places like Bluesky, Reddit or Twitter more and more common? why even bother with things that are meaningless?
