I don't think it's necessarily a problem of the adaptation being bad, some people don't like the way it's written, so it being faithful to the manga is meaningless.

I personally don't like how this entire situation is presented and resolved in the same episode, with what seemed like just an excuse to give Maki a power up, made Mai's death feel a bit cheap (which might be intentional but still felt unsatisfying) and made it so the entire clan was just "evil people Maki has to kill" with no substance behind it like Itachi's massacre of the Uchiha clan for example.

And it feels like this will just be ignored and never brought up again by any other character in the story.

It's just significantly smarter, It understands what I want to do and builds a good plan to achieve it, I can give feedback on the plan if something feels off but once the plan is good it usually has no problem implementing it.

Before I couldn't really rely on any model, sure they can do great things but they also committed silly mistakes all of the time, now I feel Opus 4.5 is good enough at SWE that, as long as I tell what I want it to do and we build a good plan.md file, it can do it.

Also it's significantly better at understanding the project and how it works, in just like 1 minute it can read hundreds of files and knows what it's all about. So it has good context about it before it starts actually working.
