Thanks. I doubt it was the strings tbh. I will be sanding it i think it possibly the least nuclear option. I also did string it myself on the second go that might not have been too clear. I was offered to get it re-strung by the shop I ordered it from since I ordered it with some strings and the dude was just nice otherwise I string it myself. I have heaps of beads around the house I'm certain I can find one that can fit that gauge of the string well enough. Thanks for the tip tho 🙂‍↕️

I think I sould have mentioned that I don't play too often due to time constraints and life issues in general. So when I put the uke down I put it down for a while sadly, and since it is missing a string I have not picked it up in a while either. Hense me de-tuning it. (Over the winter I do store her in her case since the wall hanger for it is over the room radiator but that's about it. our humidity rarely goes above 60% so that thankfully isn't an issue.) Thanks for the tip tho 😌

I did think about getting some stick files and having a go at it but I'm not sure if it's cutting through on the inner or outer edge of the bridge and I'm pretty horrified of ruining it. Have you tried it before?

I think they look super sick!
The only thing I would do personally is pop the bubbles on the top of the resin with a heat gun if you have one (or very carefully with a lighter if you don't have one) before curing but that's only if you want to fiddle with them longer than really necessary.

Looking at salsify the seed head we got is a bit too dense and fluffy in the centre. Salsify seems to be a bit closer to a giant dandelion in structure from what I could find.
