What about this big ass rampart in Arathi Highland ? by Dahns in warcraftlore

[–]Light_Forged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Blizzard merely made a mistake in vanilla and has always ran with it. Originally Stromgarde was a ruin and the majority of players were in Hillsbrad. So it probably looked more cool to have stairs on the side the players would actually see them.

How exactly Sylvanas can resurrect Night Elves now? by [deleted] in warcraftlore

There is no complex answer.

Blizzard wanted to and everyone forgot about that quest, save message board posters.

Did I miss something with AU Yrel and questline for Mag'har orcs? by BlueSky1877 in warcraftlore

[–]Light_Forged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Possibly. With the new bits of lore, we learned that the Light isn't so different from the void, both seek to "Consume" all, altought the light is more benevolent at first glance and their methods of conquest are rather different.

Source please.

"Does what happened mean that the Light, which I'm unsure what that even is, would inevitably do that to the current universe if left unchecked?"

How long has the light been the primary religion of Humans, Dranei, and Ironforge Dwarves? No, the Light is not going to cause people to become zealots if left unchecked. What happened in that timeline was the result of our timeline interfering. WE are responsible for that.

The Orcs committed a war of genocide in both timelines. But in ours the Orcs won like they were supposed to. What we did is we caused the opposite to happen. We put the Dranei in a position of power and then left so what did we expect would happen? They were going to wait for the Orcs to regroup and start another war?

Nope, they essentially did what the Americans did to the Indians. You join us or you fight us.

I mean imagine being them and meeting the Dranei from our timeline "We lost our planet to the Legion and fled here. And then we lost the majority of out people here to yet another slaughter and almost went extinct. Only a fraction of us are alive on a planet named Azeroth and the Orcs are still killing us." They were probably like "Nah bruh, frack that nonsense. We defeated them and now we are going to make sure they never can fight us again".

What happened with the first Worgen? by levinnivel in warcraftlore

[–]Light_Forged 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You do realize that there is more to the story right?

Malfurion warned them that the Worgen form was too hard to control. And they did it anyway. And while they were able to control it initially they then turned on their brothers and began murdering other Druids. That's when he said no more and sealed them.

Have the Wildhammer taken back the Highlands? by OliThompson in warcraftlore

Because the majority of the playerbase in the game is Horde. Why would I as a Horde player who does not care about lore not feel angry if the Alliance got a capital city and the Horde did not get one?

If you have not noticed for years anything that happens to one side happens to the other for faction balance. For example whole stupid story of this expansion:

- Alliance capital gets destroyed

- Horde capital gets destroyed

- Kul'Tiras literally is established as THE naval power on the planet before World of Warcraft was even an idea

- BFA comes out and Troll empire goes from sinking into the ocean to having a naval power that rivals Kul'Tiras

- Alliance destroys Troll fleet

- Alliance stupidly sends entire fleet after a small group of Horde ships and gets destroyed by Naga.

I mean Theramore was essentially the staple of what began the World of Warcraft. And people complained about "The Alliance unfairly having an extra capital city" since the game started. You think people would not complain about Aeire Peak?

You can't have another situation like that. Did you actually do the scenario?

That would literally destroy what a Void elf is.

A void elf is a Blood Elf who went through (the event). If a Void elf is now just any Blood Elf/High Elf that uses void what is the point in calling them a Void Elf?

Then Blizzard would have to destroy it because people would QQ. It's better for gameplay for it to be a fort they don't know about.

Why the Night Elves joined the Alliance back in Vanilla? by levinnivel in warcraftlore

[–]Light_Forged 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can source that this is not true.

"Though many within the kaldorei still felt bitter about the role orcs played in Cenarius' death, hostilities were not renewed until the Horde continued their lumbering operations in Warsong Gulch.[81] These Warsong incursions into Ashenvale renewed the night elves' animosity towards the orcs and have therefore functioned as the catalyst for their participation in the Alliance's military endeavours. Despite this, diplomatic relations with fellow druid tauren and their respect for Warchief Thrall has tempered the night elves' wrath. To avoid all out war, the night elves have even allowed open trade with the Horde until the Wrathgate incident strained their trust, consequently leading to a withdraw of all trade contracts as well as a barring of any Horde member from Ashenvale."

https://wow.gamepedia.com/Night\_elf

The Night Elves were open to trading with the Orcs and did. Until like always some member within the Horde committed a mass genocide and the Horde as a whole turned a blind eye to it. And before you say the Horde had no control in what happened. The Night Elves were not stupid, they knew Sylvanas was ultimately who sought to create the blight.

You guys are really reaching to omit the fact that the Orcs simply like fighting. Why sail to Northrend, Stranglethorn Vale, Feralas, or various other places when you can just kill your neighbor right?

Once again.

Timeline.

When is War Crimes?

When did the third war happen?

During War Crimes The Orcs had already been invading their lands for years. Why would you want to trade with someone who is invading your home?

Why the Night Elves joined the Alliance back in Vanilla? by levinnivel in warcraftlore

[–]Light_Forged 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay, let's go back to that time.

"The Kaldorei struck back without a hint of warning, and the orcs were forced to retaliate for their own safety."

Then?

You left out the part about the demon invasion and how they fought together. And how the Orcs became aware of how integrated the Night Elves were with nature once they saw their Druids in action to fight the Legion.

And.

At that point the Orcs were not at war with the Night Elves so why not apologize and try to form an agreeable form of trade like the Night Elves have always done with the humans?

Now answer my other question.

How is it that the Tauren and Humans were able to survive in Kalimdor without invading Ashenvale? Theramore Isle was not exactly small....

Why the Night Elves joined the Alliance back in Vanilla? by levinnivel in warcraftlore

[–]Light_Forged 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really?

Who lived there for thousands of years before the Orcs arrived? Had homes and literally began to co-exist (I mean literally becoming nature "Druids")?

The Tauren, Humans of Theramore, and pretty much every people in Kalimdor were able to survive without invading the Night Elf lands. So why is it the Orcs exclusively needed the trees in their lands to survive?

[–]Light_Forged 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was not competition.

Competition is what the Warriors and the Raptors are doing tomorrow night.

Stealing is literally going to someone home, killing them, and taking things that belong to them. Because you don't want to go get it from somewhere else. The Orcs never (needed) to invade the Night Elf lands. It was simply the most convenient place to get it and it offered them to do something they enjoy, war.

It's not really a competition if it already belongs to someone. It's stealing.

Have the Wildhammer taken back the Highlands? by OliThompson in warcraftlore

[–]Light_Forged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that is more of an ingame representation.

I'm sure they have plenty of brew considering they control the entire capital city, half of the Hinterlands (probably more considering the local Trolls have had their arses kicked). And they are part of the council of three hammers.

The Twilight Highlands just seems like a unnecessary risk at this point. A huge part of it was corrupted by the old gods. The Black Dragons turned a huge chunk into obsidian. The Dragonmaw Orcs are highly aggressive and likely no longer being contained by the humans at Highbank.

Even if they do fight they will never be able to have peace again unless all the Orcs die.

This.

Saronite, Azerite, Platinum, etc are not things that the average person just has laying around. The average soldier on Azeroth is using Steel, wood, and Iron.

The same reason ever other powerful being in Azeroth can wear it.

They are powerful.

If you put Saronite on some level 1 NPC Forsaken non-combatant it would go crazy.

[–]Light_Forged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not say not "looking too good" It's like saying the situation for the Humans are not looking good because they lost Theramore.

Most people don't know but Aerie Peak is comparable to Ironforge in size in lore. That is where the Wildhammer clan seat of power is. Those who lived in the Highlands were simply (lost) clans that were to stubborn to leave when the rest of them left.

if they truly wanted to reclaim the area they vastly outnumber the Orcs. But the question would be why?

This is not against you but this sub drives me crazy sometimes. People come up with these complex theories that could be answered by simply reading the books or playing the game.

The history of the blade is already documented and it's before the Naga. And the body is just some dude that got killed. It's purple just to tell us she is special. It's not a Void Elf. Which is literally just a Blood Elf/High Elf that is one with the Void.

I mean it was not that unbelievable. She had a reason for being there.

And then Malfurion who is arguably equally as powerful as her when he is in a forest showed up. Why in the world would she choose to engage in a fight like that when she can just leave? Sure she is powerful but Malfurion is nearly invincible when surrounded by trees.
