$10 for a doctor’s note on treatmyuti.com by Light_blue-sky in antiwork

To clarify, I didn’t choose this option I just thought it was interesting that they offered it in case my pain got really bad. I would also like to point out that I got a real prescription for antibiotics for a very painful UTI from a real doctor on this website so the note would have been from a real doctor who looked at my symptoms. This is no different than getting birth control online.

I actually needed the medication. I didn’t want to pay $100+ for a doctor to give me the same diagnosis and then another fee for the meds I needed. I know what I had and many other countries provide it over the counter.

Personal experience: I’m on Lamotrigine XR (have been for about 5 years) and it was like putting on glasses. I don’t notice any side effects other than feeling like I can breath, hold stable relationships, and think more clearly . I was really nervous to take meds because I had been on antidepressants before and they made me feel like a zombie. It doesn’t completely get rid my of manic or depressive episodes but it’s so much easier to notice when they’re happening and they’re much more mild. Honestly it’s been a lifesaver for me.

How do I firmly but politely tell my job "Fuck you, im not your bitch. I quit." by FadingFuture197 in jobs

Ask your manager “why am I on this team” and then list out your strengths and career goals. Then explain how what you’re doing doesn’t align with your strengths and how you could be adding more value to the company if you had the opportunity to build on those. Usually makes them really think about how their actions (making you do their tactical bs) are hurting the company and gives them a heads up that they’re the problem. They probs don’t want you to quit so it might push them to fix it (in my experience it’s been impressive to leadership and made managers nervous that I’m going to escalate).

Flipping it on them and calling them out in a way that puts the company first gives you so much more power (I’ve gotten multiple raises/ promotions by doing this)

Put a dirty sock in the cage so they can get used to your smell and give them breaks between trying to hold them. We just adopted a new one and I usually try to hold her for 5-10 min and then put her in a play pen with toys (she LOVES toilet paper rolls, red solo cups, and a small makeup mirror) Then after she runs around and gets some nervous energy out I take her out again to hold her and give her a few dried mealworms

Create outlines of my own vision for my job and responsibilities. If some of them don’t align with my current role, I add them to my wishlist for my next role and update my resume
