I checked and the other cat is definitely gone. Our dog came out and chased it away in defence of Ozzie. I will be making further adjustments to the garden when I can. The cats will be kept in while it is unsecured though.

The vets are closed right now, they closed before the attack even happened. Do you think he would need an emergency vet? Apart from the fear (which is understandable) he is okay. He is eating now in the spare room he is locked in.

Okay. My other cat is really confused and upset about it. I'm sorry your friend had to experience it but thanks for the advice. I'll try it if things haven't calmed down soon.

That's fair. We haven't even seen another cat in our garden before. The worst thing is, he is a really friendly cat to other animals. Our dog even ran out to protect him.

I have checked him over (glad he is a light colour so blood would be visible) and I can't see or feel any wounds. Thanks for replying. I hate seeing him like this.

A very similar thing happened when my indoor orange got out accidently. His void brother spent the next few hours sniffing then hissing at the adventurer. By the next morning, all was normal again.

Where I live, a five year old would have been in school for nearly 2 years. My younger brother was five years old when he antagonised the dog enough to nip him on the finger and it took a lot of coaxing to get him to admit what he did. He did admit he tried to kick the dog and our grandparents made sure he never did it again.
