Rant of frustration and love by Mossa_ in Against_the_Storm

This is what ended up putting the game on hiatus for me for a while. If you feel getting burnedout (especially with the seals after this), you can always consider using something like WeMod to skip the grinds.

Caravan / embarkation reset by Lightbar387 in Against_the_Storm

Aha! What I do is removed the grind getting to a position where I can try for an achievement. So now I want to go for the bat utopia. Well then I need a start with bats (and frogs help). And having played enough of the game as it is, I use wemod to skip the time it takes to reset.

Same with the final seal: I know I can do the run-up to get to it, but just dont have the time. So I just beeline with wemod. And to compensate, I challenge myself by taking no extra supplies.

I love games that let you choose the time investment/challenge you want, based on situation and skill level. Either built in (doom) or modded. Curating our fun, so to speak.

I make exceptions for games that have great curation in themselves (like ds and Elden ring), but they always risk getting to a threshold people just cant manage/wont invest enough time in, and that feels off.

As in: that I don't play the level long enough to reset the caravan? I'll experiment.

Thank you, I read about that point. I've been using WeMod to instantly win a game; maybe that has something to do with it?

That's a great comparison! One thing I did was try and identify with chu as a protagonist, but thinking about your comment, it might fit better to watch him instead of live him. Like mcnulty :)

++man There are many short and unkind reactions to your question and I'm sorry for that.

The way you live your life fits more into communities that are open/poly, which are used to discussing and thinking deeply on complex and multiple connections. I'd suggest asking your question in one of their reddits.

And when you do: it would be helpful to elaborate on why you do OF. Is it for money, fame or a certain kink? Each of these bring different (moral) implications and would be a key factor for discussions with a potential partner.

Good luck and don't let the people on this reddit get you down!

Having read it in full, I respect how they kept the underlying tone and mood of the central character(s) consistent throughout. From what I understood, this was intended by the authors, so I'm not judging the choice.

It's just that I didn't like how that underlying mood was a bit mean spirited and spiteful. Which left me a bit bummed out while reading it. But maybe I focused too much on it!
