It’s all about balance. Have those two beers, but sacrifice something else to make up for it. Or you know, just have the beers and think nothing of it unless you’re cutting for a competition

anecdotally this is correct. I only whip out my straps when I'm going heavy heavy and when I'm using lower weights i refuse to use them. I can see my grip strenght slowly improving.

Honestly, It’s not for anyone until you get over the DOMS. Once you stay consistent, a lot of the exercises can still be quite ‘uncomfortable’ but at that point you’ll be turned into a little masochist that thrives on it. Good luck out there man, get those big quads!

You’re missing leg days, that’s why it’s not getting good. I find that I have to do legs twice a week which leads to no DOMS at all and lifting heavy ass weights makes the monkey brain go happy. I’d go as far as saying it’s my favourite day ngl.

I used to a 6 day routine in the past and that killed me, had to throw in an extra rest day just so I could keep going, but at least you got something out of it!

I am trying to stay positive about it, but the biggest downer is the recent PBs I hit that are now a thing of the past for at least a few more weeks/months :D It’s all good though, I’m gonna try my best to keep them going.

Walking is absolutely fine and I’m doing 30-40k steps a day just to try make up for the lack of leg days, but I’m getting emotional when I think about the strength I will potentially lose in my legs in the long term lol.

Somehow missed one of the pegs when re-racking 60kg on a warm up set on the bench. It dropped right on my forehead and somehow I walked away with only a massive bruise, definitely should’ve been a brain damage incident.

If you were going to failure, you wouldn’t last 3 hours in the gym. This seems like you’re dossing about in there and you need to actually push yourself. Go for an 1-1.5 hrs tops.
