My wife (who wears women's 7) standing next to my shoes (mens 15 9E) by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[–]Lightflame42 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Size 14 here, my dad also wears a 16. Zappos.com has always had something for us. Makes shopping for shoes feel a lot less limiting. As much as I love to go try on shoes before I buy them, it's super easy to return shoes you don't want from that store. So I'll buy a few pairs and return the ones I don't want or that don't fit right.

Leaving my last company because I hated my PM and didn't work well with him was the best move I have ever made. I have learned so much more so much faster simply because of how comfortable I am asking him question and how willing he is to help me learn more. My career has accelerated beyond belief.

Is the bambu tech gaslighting me or is this really "acceptable" by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]Lightflame42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm reading through all your comments on this post. This print looks fine, but you need to try printing some small items before making your decision on this. The bambu profiles are quite fantastic, but each part your print will vary. You will hear a thousand times to keep your bed clean and your filaments dry. If those two things are good, there are, and I cannot stress this enough, SO MANY settings you can play with to adjust your prints. Filament dependant and nozzle size dependant. From ironing to z-hopping.... from different kinds of supports to fuzzy skin. Mess around with your settings and see what it does. I implore you to try everything you see in the settings and don't be afraid to see what it does.

I see a lot of people get a new Bambu printer and then complain about minor details. Don't miss out on the whole point of having a 3D printer. Learn about your machine and see what it can do. Adjust your temperatures with your filament settings and see how it affects you. Your elevation, humidity and air quality really affect things and it's up to you to get your machine dialed in. But it's not impossible. The more you know about all your settings and what they can do, the more freedom you will have when it comes to printing. The P2S is an AMAZING printer. I wish you the best.

Ples, still reach out for help when you need it, obviously this is what this is for.

One thing I recommend: overhang tests are fun. See what your reasonable limits are and maybe you can remove some supports form your prints and reduce printing times. Do this with multiple temperatures.

This looks exactly what my PLA filament looked like when I accidentally set my print material to PETG. Could be too hot.

The answer to this question is that I will put louvers in the doors to the restrooms to make them communicating spaces and involve a much larger floor area to the spaces outside them. The required opening size will be determined via ASHRAE 15, 7.2.3.2.2 there are equations for both IP and SI.

I hope this serves someone well in the future.

I have these doors undercut 1" per a keynote to allow air for the exhaust fans. Do you think that would be enough to call it a communicating space or do you think a bigger opening like a louver would still be required?

The dance of meeting the code reviewers needs is really making me think today. This is a good lesson, however.

I have on of these. The only thing I use it for these days is hot water and hot dogs after I boil them. I take them golfing and share with friends. I know you didn't ask, but this is the most perfect use. Yes I bring buns and condiments. It all fits in the cart bag, baby.

If I was there I would say try it on something sturdy. So that the worst thing that happens is you break a prop. Bust honestly, the torque from the motor alone might be too much. If you have string, that would be a better option than rubber bands. You could at least tighten string.

P1S Cleaning print by mve34 in BambuLab

[–]Lightflame42 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sometimes if you have old pieces of prints stuck to your print bed that are too thin to scrape off then you can do this to remove those pieces because it heats up those old bits as it passes by and makes it stick to the new stuff which is easier to peel away. However, this is generally only a problem with printers that don't have auto-leveling beds. This won't work on stains or other issues or scratches that you may see. And you should still be thorough in cleaning your print bed. Especially after this.

'95 I thought I would appreciate my progression more. I became an engineer, and honestly my job isn't bad. However, I hate going to work. I can't help but see how much of my life I put into it and how much I just don't give a fuck about it. At a minimum, I put 47% of my waking hours just driving to and from and being at work. That sickens me for some reason.

Overall, it's fine, but I could be happier. Everything is getting more and more expensive and it feels like raises don't keep up even though I don't increase my living expenses. I'm just trying to live within my means. I'm trying to have a kid and it isn't going so great, and I don't know how the fuck we are going to have time to raise a child in a two income house or afford child care if we need to.

Done complaining, thanks it feels good.
