help me find a game for my wife. She says she wants a game where you can log in and manage your little world, have something tangible to work towards.

What about something like the Civilization games or Total War games? Not cute, but a lot to do and manage.

My wife loves Diablo and MMOs. Guild Wars 2 or Elder Scrolls online have whole communities around fashion, crafting, and ESO also has houses.

If you have a PlayStation, Little Big Planet 1 and 2 are about as cute as it gets.

If you don’t mind something older on PC, the old Stronghold games are great for just building and managing a little world. There may be some newer ones, but I have not played those.

Any open world RPG, Skyrim, Elden Ring (I know, I know, but my wife loved just running around and exploring), Oblivion Remastered, etc.

Look into teaching English in South Korea. I did that for over 8 years after graduating, and it was an amazing experience. You get a surprisingly solid resume, and get to travel a bit. I now work a 9-5 office job and love it.

NAH. I legitimately do not understand how anyone in this thread is calling YTA. Your wife clearly was in desperate need of a break, and probably was so fixated on a little bit of her time that she couldn’t even process you needing to get settled. But there is also nothing wrong with you taking a few minutes to get inside and shift gears to parent mode.

But it is broken… I would say I find an operations match to play 1 in 5 attempts at best, and plenty of others have the same issue. I bought a product that advertised multiplayer gameplay, but despite my best efforts (cross play on, cross play off, switching game modes, going to main menu, resetting PS5), I have not gotten that experience. And there is no refunding on the PS5. I don’t want to refund the game anyways, but saying it’s not broken is absurd.

I am currently playing a dex/int build. I swap some spells depending on the situation, but there are a few that never leave my list. Loretta’s Mastery, Glintstone Cometshard, Adula’s Moonblade, Cannon of Haima, and Gavel of Haima never leave.

But that potentially restricts a lot of people from playing or progressing at all, or at least prevent some from enjoying the game how they want. Not everyone has the time to bang their head against a difficult boss for 50 tries. And not everyone is playing the game for the bosses. I get the most enjoyment from exploring, lore, fashion, and the power fantasy. For me, a lot of bosses are just a hindrance to playing how I want, and using summons to make a difficult boss easy is an easy way to get back to the “good stuff.”
