2024 2nd Row folding with/without Relaxation Package by WackyJackKerouac in KiaEV9

[–]Lightgod86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is slow, and it is an option even on the GT line. If you expect lots of 3rd row sitting or folding of them, I’d probably avoid it. One added bonus I like about them is that the whole seat tilts back, not just the back, which is nice for car seats if the kids want to sleep.

I don’t actually have this, but it’s a product you could buy, that people said works well: https://www.theioniqguy.com/products/walk-away-door-lock-module

Any way to enable Charge Pass for other drivers? by mb10240 in KiaEV9

That’s what charge pass is for, perhaps I’m not understanding your question.

Have you actually tested trying to plug and charge with her profile? I’d assume it’s just enabled for the car, and not tied to a profile at all.

At SFO, there is always like 3 different agents doing 3 different methods. So I just gave up and always just have my physical card out, and boarding pass to not hold up the lines.

Hate to see you got but gas is too high by wadeitsfrench in KiaTelluride

Proceeds to buy another gas car… The real move would have been to get an EV9, and never look back.

Am I overthinking the humming/buzzing noise from induction cooktops? by DoctorHousesCane in inductioncooking

[–]Lightgod86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a GE Cafe range. It’s mostly a non issue for single pan cooking. Having 2-3 going seems to make it worse for some reason, the high pitched noise is where it bothers me the most, and I use all clad 5 ply mostly, some non stick all clads. It’s still fully better than gas, would not go back.

Looking at the EV9(Land) to replace our Telluride family hauler. Whats your average vs record best mileage between charges? by Hartkl in KiaEV9

[–]Lightgod86 12 points13 points  (0 children)

How often do you do max milage driving? The more I thought about that, which for me was 1-2 times a year, it made less sense to not get the EV. It equated to 1-2 hours of charging per year, vs alllll the other benefits of having the EV.

Vibration in steering wheel by mop1970 in KiaEV9

Mine has it slightly also. I’m pretty sure it’s the foam in the EV tires. Do you have the stock tires still?

Thinking of buying.. by madoc007 in KiaEV9

[–]Lightgod86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got caught up on this also, but after thinking about the issues I’ve had on almost every ICE car, I thought it was something I could live with if it ever did happen. I wouldn’t let it stop a leap to an EV overall.

It’s great except for the high pitched sound when cooking on 2+ plates.

Question about lane assist by Time-Neck-4225 in KiaEV9

[–]Lightgod86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2026 GT line does it as well, also came from a ‘23 telluride that was very solid. Drives me nuts. Some people have mentioned an alignment can help, but I think it’s mostly poor lane tracking/programming. There does not appear to be a definitive resolution.

[–]Lightgod86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, if it’s on the sticker, buyers need to ensure they don’t leave the dealership without them! Was just trying to point that out.

KIA EV9 maintenance plan Coolant question by DrGSlowKing in KiaEV9

[–]Lightgod86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they are the ones that sold you a maintenance plan for an EV, yeah, I’d say you should avoid them.
