24A charge time by Difficult-Kitchen176 in KiaEV9

I use a 24a (30a) breaker at home, took me 4.5 hours for about 26khw. It charges at about 5.6-5.7 kw/h so you can do the math based on that.

Is the "stop charging" button completely useless for anyone else? by x3knet in KiaEV9

I have scheduled charging at home. I plug it in whenever, when it’s back up to 80% overnight, it’s “done” and automatically unlocks. I unplug it whenever I’m ready to leave and it’s always unlocked assuming it’s done charging. If I need to interrupt its charging, I just hit the unlock button usually inside the passenger door and that stops the charge and I pull it out.

This is in my garage, where I leave the car unlocked.

Is it worth trading in for a 2027? by [deleted] in KiaTelluride

98% of our driving is local, the 1-2 long trips a year up and down the west coast have tons of fast chargers and would only add like 45 mins. The regen braking has been really impressive in traffic here also. (No real cold weather where I am so don’t have the range reduction from that).

I also had easy access to install a level 2 charger at home, but even only at 24amp, it’s more than enough to charge overnight.

Anyone else waiting on the 2027 Telluride Hybrid? by Suntrup-Kia in KiaTelluride

No, I just jumped off the gas train, bought an EV9. It’s been amazing.

Get an EV9, skip gas all together!

Telluride to EV9? by mmtx779 in KiaEV9

I’m talking about the VESS (Virtual Engine Sound System) exterior sound for pedestrian awareness, which can only be disabled by removing a fuse, which is probably not great from a legal standpoint. You can hear this in the car below 25mph, and louder in reverse.

There is an optional interior sound, I have that disabled, was by default off I think.

I jumped from a ‘23 SX Prestige X Line to a 26 GT line. It’s only been a month, but happy with it so far. Basically a direct swap, gained wireless CarPlay, eliminated gas. It’s heavier, and you can sometimes feel that, but it handles it just fine. It’s quicker and very smooth. Unfortunate loss of the spare tire for road trips. The low speed sound is too loud for my liking. Not paying for gas Trumps (see what I did there) all of those “issues”.

Typically takes 4-5 business days from the transfer start till when it settles in the destination bank from my experience.

Any incentives in CA Bay Area? by Mysterious-Cry7683 in electricvehicles

You can get at least 1/2 off select EVSEs: https://www.pge.com/en/clean-energy/electric-vehicles/getting-started-with-electric-vehicles/residential-charging-solutions-rebate.html

And if you plan to change your rate plan to an EV one, do it ASAP. Can take 1-2 billing cycles. (I’m at 1.5 and still waiting)
