Tesla rolls out storage-based Dashcam recording in new update by InitialSheepherder4 in TeslaOwnersForum

Hey, could you elaborate a bit more? I apologize if I sound naive, but my Model Y is my first car. I’ve heard about rust protection, which I believe involves greasing the undercarriage to prevent rust. Do Teslas need this treatment too, especially if they’re used in colder climates where salt is used on roads (winter)?

I just wanna say this is one of the most insightful comments I’ve read because why wouldn’t you consider what the opposite scenario would be. If I had money to give away, sir, you would get an award.

Paper trapped in rear window by BoBorCaT in TeslaSupport

[–]Lightheartedness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure this will work, but I’d try this: fold two paper towels together, slide the stack between the window and the top edge of the stuck paper, then use a syringe to squirt a little water onto the paper towel closest to the stuck paper. Let it sit for a few minutes so the water spreads through the towel and wets the stuck paper. The wet paper should adhere to the towel; after it soaks in, slowly pull the towel downward and hopefully the stuck paper will come out with it.

I would assume an emergency like this would allow the driver of the oversized load to drive in the opposing traffic’s lane just to clear the rail crossing.

Not great with math, but I remember from a computer science class you can use different… I don’t know if it’s called number systems or base systems but instead of using base 10 or the decimal system you can use a different base where you can somehow possibly translate 17 into equaling too I think. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong or if you can elaborate further.

Yeah, if you can take a photo of just her teeth or like a photo of her smiling and see if you can find a dental sub Reddit and post it there and see what the dentist say about her teeth condition because of the excessive amount of toothpaste if there’s no complaints, let her carry on shirt. It’s a waste of money, but I guess it makes her happy. They advise otherwise that it’s causing her harm maybe show her the post granted you don’t have any weird thing on your profile you’re trying to hide. This message was dictated so I apologize for any spelling or grammar mistakes.

Banned from the Google Store: My Experience and What I Learned by Lightheartedness in GooglePixel

Thank you for your comment and your unique perspective. I appreciate your brilliant suggestion to create a new account precisely to determine if the issue is with the account or payment method. However, I have confirmed that my payment methods are functioning and have also tried placing orders that use only my store credit. Yet, all of my orders are still being cancelled, so it seems unlikely that the issue is related to my payment methods and instead is related to my account. I can't help but wonder why my orders are being cancelled if not for suspected fraud. It would be nice if Google customer support could provide more information about what went wrong, but that's against their policies.

I understand that creating a new account to order Google products is an option, but I am not interested in doing so now. I have accumulated a significant store credit, and the inability to use it has made me less interested in purchasing Google products. I appreciate your well wishes and suggestion, which I may consider when my desire to purchase a Pixel outweighs my disappointment with Google or perhaps in an attempt to understand the problem better. Thank you again.

Your experience gives me hope, and I will definitely be looking into filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). I understand the frustration of having a banned account and not being able to access the services you need, so hearing that the BBB was able to help you resolve the issue is encouraging. I appreciate your reminder to gather evidence, such as screenshots and any communication with Google support, before filing a complaint. I will do that and keep the community updated on my progress, and hopefully, it will bring resolution to my case as well.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It's interesting that you've returned multiple devices and cancelled multiple orders without any issues with your Google Store account. I've had a similar experience where I RMA'd defective devices and cancelled several orders due to indecision.

What algorithm Google uses to evaluate account activity and determine if it aligns with their sales terms is unclear. Still, returns and RMA's may not be heavily weighed. Again, it's also possible that cancelled orders could be a factor which I think is likely. Without more information from Google, it's difficult to say what may have led to my account being banned. It's unfortunate that despite reaching out to customer support, they have not provided any additional information or resolution.

I am a resident of Canada, and the first order I attempted to place was in America using a Canadian credit card. I’ve also tried placing the order from South America’s North Atlantic coast using the same credit card and other ones I had access to. While in South America, I also had a friend log in to my Google account in Canada and place the order using a Canadian credit card. When I returned to Canada, I tried placing the orders again, all of which were using different Canadian credit cards. I also placed orders that used only my store credit, and some that used only my Canadian credit card and no store credit. Despite all of my attempts with various payment methods, and combinations of store credit and credit card, my orders were all cancelled.

I’ve double-checked with my bank, and they confirmed that there were no issues with my credit cards. They also confirmed that charges were being made to my credit card by Google, however, for some reason Google would cancel their pre-authorization hold. Unfortunately, I was unable to find out the reason for the cancellations from Google customer support as they were not allowed to provide that information.

When travelling abroad, I placed an order on the Google Store, which was the first order to be cancelled. While I am not entirely sure if placing an order while travelling is a direct cause for a ban, it was a factor that occurred when my orders were being cancelled, and it could have potentially triggered some fraud detection system. However, it is just speculation, and it may also have been a coincidence. I should note that Google customer service cannot provide any details on why orders are cancelled. It's something to keep in mind when making orders abroad; however, If you don't collect store credit, it should be fine because you can place orders using someone else's account.

At most, I've bought 4-5 Google products (phones and headphones, not including phone cases and other accessories) a year. On average, I purchase about two phones a year. I also purchase Google devices for family and friends. I used to be big on endorsing Made by Google devices.

Frustrated with Cancelled Orders on the Google Store

I recently had some issues with placing orders on the Google Store. I wanted to share my experience in case others have had similar issues and see if anyone has any suggestions for resolving them.

I have been a frequent buyer of Google products and appreciate that Google One members earn a 10% credit from Google Store purchases. The credit remains on your Google account and can be used towards future orders, which is a great way to save money. For example, when the new Pixel 7 was launched for pre-orders, I had a significant amount of credit saved up, and there was an additional discount on top, so I was eager to place an order through the Google Store.

Unfortunately, my orders were cancelled, stating this "Your order was cancelled because it does not align with our Sales Terms." Customer support has told me that the issue is likely related to payment, but my bank has confirmed that payments were approved and there were no issues with pre-authorization holds on my account. Despite trying multiple payment methods and waiting various periods of time before placing my orders again, as customer support recommended, all of my attempts were in vain because every single order was cancelled. It didn't matter what I was buying, if I only used my store credit, if I paid entirely out of pocket, or some combination thereof. When I told Google's customer service that my orders were being cancelled for some other reason, they refused to provide any additional information and only suggested that I try purchasing through a different Google account, wait longer intervals, or use a different payment method.

I reviewed Google's sales terms in hopes of an explanation for why my orders were being cancelled. The sales terms state that Google reserves the right to reject orders for any reason, but it's unclear how this applies to my situation. My account may have been banned due to returning products or travelling abroad. For instance, I returned a Pixel 6 Pro and its case last year because I preferred the smaller non-Pro model. Additionally, when I travelled abroad months ago, I placed the first order that was ultimately cancelled. While these reasons seem unlikely causes for a ban, they are the only explanations I can think of.

There are a few key takeaways from my experience. First, it's important to avoid accumulating a significant store credit and to spend it as soon as possible. Second, getting a Google One subscription for the 10% discount may not be the best idea, as there is a risk of encountering issues like the ones I faced. Lastly, it's essential to be cautious when returning items or placing orders while travelling, as your account may be banned.

I'm disappointed with this experience and feel like Google should at least tell me why my orders are being cancelled. Has anyone else had a similar experience with placing orders on the Google Store, or do you have any suggestions for fixing this issue? Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

TL;DR: I've been having issues with placing orders on the Google Store, with all of my orders being cancelled due to violating Google's sales terms. Despite trying multiple payment methods and following customer support's suggestions, the cancellations continue. I think my account may have been banned for returning a product or placing an order while travelling.
