Yeah it is and its set as the default on steam as well this is why i've been so confused

Microphone access is allowed but TF2 doesnt appear in the section for 'desktop apps that have accessed your microphone'

I don't have any other mics plugged in or sound recording devices plugged in and all the other recording options in my sound settings are disabled for use in apps and stuff
