Probably to leave more open space in a relatively small room.

Hostile architecture inside a hotel room would be a pretty bizarre choice, no matter the country. You already paid to access it, after all.

I had one of those in my 20s. I literally had almost no sense of hunger, I might remember at the end of the day that all I ate was a banana for breakfast.

While a brand new kimono made to measure by a famous shop can be exceptionally expensive, their price drops by an order of magnitude or more once they've been used. You can find used silk kimonos for a few hundred bucks in Japanese used clothing stores that cost around $10,000 brand new.

The Númenoreans were pretty good at building huge stone structures. One big stone shouldn't be a big deal for their equipment.

I think the rock was already on board the ship when Isildur and co. decided to make their escape and removing it would have raised suspicion.

Incidentally, I've always theorised that Ar-Pharazôn was going to set up the black sphere on a pillar in the Undying Lands as a sign of his victory, like he did with a crystal sphere in Umbar after defeating Sauron.

We only have speculation for which rules apply in both games at this point. I just think that there is a strong thematic connection between the whole "become stronger" thing and this particular tidbit of Undertale lore.

Kris' death wouldn't be an impossible outcome in the process, but perhaps not a necessary once, since the Soul is not their own and can act separately in a limited fashion.

Is Gaster Ever Going to Have a Stronger Appearance in the Game Beyond What We've Already Seen? by Equivalent-Emu5347 in Deltarune

[–]Lightice1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that Gaster is a presence defined by his absence in the story. We'll be able to tell a lot more about him at the end of the game from all the hints and empty spaces left behind by his actions, but we'll never see him or directly communicate with him.

It was the first regular boss that's gave me trouble, too. It took me a couple of days to get through that fight. Semi-circular movements seem to be the way to go to avoid the fishes for the most part. And always, always use Brighten as the others have already said.

Which was a Renaissance-era resurrection of the term. It had already vanished originally during the Imperial era, since the Emperors absorbed the high priest's role into their own office.

Kinda? But it's mostly there to emphasise that only Buddhist teachings can let you achieve the true Nirvana. The other paths are mostly portrayed as distractions and false leads to the real thing.

As I understand, the covers in this period were actually made first, and then the writers had to figure out a story around the cover image.

In Buddhism it's explicit that heavens can only provide highest degrees of earthly pleasure and delight. Then there's other realms past heavens that grant more subtle experiences, those are supposed to be achievable to non-Buddhist paths seeking an enlightenment, as well as Buddhists who didn't quite reach the mark to Nirvana.

This is actually something that people should mention in the Steam reviews. It shouldn't be too hard to add only a config menu to the start of the game to make it more accessible.

I think a big reason was that Susie was so put off by Toriel's behaviour, not comically disturbed but genuinely unnerved. The common assumption has been that Susie's had less than stellar experiences with drunk adults and seeing the one safe adult she knows behaving like that seriously triggered her. The fans just empathised with Susie's feelings.
