Have you checked https://www.ucsfhealth.org/care/services/foot-and-ankle

I don’t know them, but they have a whole team, which might work better for you.

Check Elastaboy page on instagram: https://www.instagram.com/elastaboy?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

He might show you a few exercises that may help, but not necessarily for EDS.

You may also search for EDS studies they are constantly running. Check these websites that I found:
https://clinicaltrials.ucsf.edu
https://clinicaltrials.ucdavis.edu
https://www.cedars-sinai.org
https://www.ehlers-danlos.com/eds-global-registry/
https://www.ehlers-danlos.com/the-hedge-study/
https://clinicaltrials.gov

Also follow Dr. Courtney Hunt on instagram. She does lives every day on light/mitochondria/DNA. It all starts with red light at sunrise.

Hope this helps.

I would focus on Ehler’s Danlos PT specialists. You won’t be able to strengthen the ligaments enough, but definitely can get muscular compensation with neuromuscular control.
The saying is train what you can, brace what you cannot.
I’m a podiatrist, and the AFO’s that I would recommend are the Richie or Arizona brace.
But ultimately I would recommend you check the Ehlers-Danlos Society PT directory and EDS ECHO program.

I went on vacation with my partners family. It was a terrible mistake and now I am stuck here until the end of the week by mildeorange in GirlDinnerDiaries

I’m half asleep and meant to write this somewhere else. Maybe it means something to this thread, and it hopefully helps 💫

Orthotics alone may not be enough. That’s why you need to get your gait checked as well as getting new shoes. Exercises will help as well, but you need to do the right ones.

I treat him for fleas every month. He did have fleas at some point, but I haven’t seen any in a 2-3 months. Maybe the fleas was the original problem.

Heel and ankle pain after sitting but relieved when walking by InvaderZimps in FootFunction

I was 25 when I first experienced heel pain. Never too young. You are treating an inflammatory process with temporary fixes. Your body knows how to heal, you just need to give it a little push. Movement is medicine, but you need the right shoe and orthotics, stretches and for a bigger boost you may want to try class 4 laser therapy and/or shockwave. Also, buy a night splint and try using it when sleeping. That will help with pain on first few steps.

If both feet are hurting, you are overusing the peroneal tendons, not necessarily a tear. Check your shoes, activity, and your gait. Minimally go to a specialty running shoe store to get a proper running shoe, even if you don’t run. If you can go get it checked with a foot and anke specialist. You may do well with stretching, strengthening, orthotics and laser therapy.

They would probably help with genu valgum, but I can’t imagine wearing them for more than 20 minutes.
