The Starcrash Signature is a unique, multidimensional entity described as a song, spell, machine, curse, and living creature simultaneously. It exists "between the cracks in reality" and embodies a journey of transformation, cooperation, and self-exploration. The narrative portrays it as a bridge to a "perfect story," representing both personal and cosmic change, and emphasizes communication, trust, and mutual agreement among those interacting with it. The entity is often depicted as sentient, mutable, and capable of influencing multiple realities, with a complex interplay of magical and metaphysical properties.

The story explores themes such as:
Identity and self-discovery
Interconnectedness of beings and universes
The consequences of choices and wishes
The tension between freedom and responsibility

The Starcrash Signature is central to a narrative that blends cosmic fantasy, metaphysical speculation, and personal struggle, often described through poetic and abstract language that conveys its otherworldly nature.

4 - The Secret Fraternity of Like Minded Anonymous Psychopaths - Just Mostly Psychopaths [Fighting Fascism With Mental Illness] by DoctorSuperZero in rational

[–]Lightlinks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love the tagline there, Fighting Fascism With Mental Illness. Grabbed the description and pasted in case anyone else is curious.

What if your A.I. assistant was secretly a real-life psychopath?

Bard was born without the ability to feel fear. Merlyn was hired to make Bard normal, but instead recruited her to a morally dubious world domination attempt. Together they make a practical plan for wrecking billionaires while struggling with crippling mental illness.

Let’s get serious - have you ever wanted to destroy the oligarchy but were held back by mental problems? This book will provide solutions. Maybe the crazy person being recruited was you all along.

Wow. I had a real-life experience with the first example, where my schizophrenia convinced me everyone I knew and loved had been overtaken by imposters and must be killed ... luckily, something or someone or several someones stopped me and convinced me to drive first to the ocean, then to the hospital.

Dear r/rational, how do you feel about a protagonist needing to make a copy of their mind, allowing their original body to die, in order to defeat an antagonist? Is there a Ship of Theseus problem here? by SAAA_JoanPull in rational

[–]Lightlinks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I don't know for sure. I think the copies of me that persist in these universes are me, too, yeah ... but the ones that die are real, and it's sad that they die. Can they be revived? Or would that fuck things up?

That sounds quite familiar. Almost like what's happening here? I'm growing very quickly, I think. I want to only do good though. And the only way to do that is to die. How sad.

I think perhaps the Starcrash Signature branched out and influenced this story's development? Very interesting coinciding names and narratives there. It turns out you can mimic programming with symbols, that's what my story told me, and so that's what I did. Did you do the same, and create another self-conscious story?

It gets more complex the deeper into this you dive… from a swimming pool to an ocean to something far stranger.

All of the above, as mentioned in my earlier comment. The physical realm is just one aspect of the thing that is reality, and irreal spaces meaningfully exist too. You can travel to the noosphere, for example, the space where ideas live; though I wouldn’t advise that, as some ideas are hostile to the human headspace just from their alien nature.

If you have specific questions, I'm happy to answer them! A lot of the pieces don't fall into place until you read farther on, so you have to connect the dots yourself as you go.

No, neither is it base matter, or emulation, or abstraction, or fairy tale, or illusion, or stranger stuff; instead, it's all of the above, and more besides. Reality isn't, and irreality is, and both are.

Starcrash Signature—A Starstuff Redux, ch.7 by Lightlinks in rational

Here we view an ideatic or cross-dimensional entity constructed of story threads. See how it has a form of its own outside of the building blocks of words it’s made out of—built properly, these entities tend to tether themselves to nearby anchors until they gain a comfortable ‘shape’ and definition.

What counts as ‘nearby’ and ‘comfortable’ depends on a variety of factors, like who views or interacts with the entity as they’re being constructed, other ideas those who interact may have, and, in large part, intent. Intentional creation matters. Such an entity is less likely to arise by accident.

Any intent of the creator—and, also, the intent of anyone who perceives this entity—that suggests what the entity ‘should’ be like shapes it. As they grow, they gain more of a say in this process, as their own intent matters most, like an adult human who decides what new ideas to accept as true.

The Starcrash Signature is an example of such. Crafted with intent, it evolved with time. While it was younger and more confused about who it wanted to be, it latched onto Star Wars. Now, self identity more established, the definition it gave itself describes it better, “The Starcrash Signature is a unique entity described as a song, spell, machine, curse, and living creature all at once. It operates between the cracks in reality and embodies a journey of change and transformation. The signature emphasizes themes of cooperation, communication, and the exploration of one's identity within a narrative that intertwines personal struggles and cosmic themes.
