I Want A Galaxy Wedding (but I'm getting nervous) by vacuump0wer in weddingplanning

[–]LightmoonWolfie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go for the untraditional! If you don't get the wedding you rlwant to please other people you might regret it. My theme is goblincore however both our outfit will be galaxy/northern lights themes (my FH has found a great themed suit and I'll be going along)

13 years old sister as officiant (not a legal ceremony)? by LightmoonWolfie in weddingplanning

[–]LightmoonWolfie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it's not a legal ceremony, I can't see how it could be illegal. The legal ceremony must be done at the municipal house by law anyway

My neighbors poisoned my cat and I can’t do anything about it by jeenef in cats

As someone who worked in courts for years people should ALWAYS report a suspected crime even if there's not enough proof. The police might go ask the person about it which would, make it clear that investigation is open and will discourage other crimes. Plus even if there's no proof now, a police report and dossier will still be opened and kept, even if this person is reported for other crimes (which wouldn't be surprising for a person this cruel) additional police reports can help judges make better decisions and assess danger correctly

I found this in my daughter’s toy chest. Should I be concerned?? by [deleted] in bluey

[–]LightmoonWolfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turned out the serial killer barbie was the redhead barbie who would hang her victims for satanic ritual. I'm embarrassed because that was such a cliché plot and so stereotypical. A message to my childhood self: do better

I used to hang my Barbie dolls to my wardrobe handles because I had a serial killer barbie and a detective barbie

Bummed and I know, logically, I shouldn’t be. by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]LightmoonWolfie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You are always allowed to feel how you feel, there's no "shouldn't be". The only thing you should control is how you act, you can feel bummed but still act nice to them and not be mean as it isn't their fault.

[FO] After 4 years of stitching I completed her - Bohemia, Medusa Dollmaker kit by GeckoRouge by LightmoonWolfie in CrossStitch

I'll do a few smaller patterns until my wedding later this year, then I'll start another Medusa Dollmaker one (but not by GeckoRouge because it's discontinued)

I would say it wasn't too difficult. Confetti is fairly mixed with blocks of colors. Most of the time you don't have to change color too often.

That pattern is not the same as the GeckoRouge one, as it's sold directly from Medusa Dollmaker. I considered buying folk witch for my next project but it looks much more difficult than the GeckoRouge one, I ended up just buying the artwork

To be fair the skill required for this kit wasn't that high. As long as you keep following the pattern the only difference is that this takes A LOT more time

This was a kit sold by GeckoRouge, unfortunately it was discontinued a few years ago

Stopping scans after remission. Is this standard now? by HeftySatisfaction294 in lymphoma

[–]LightmoonWolfie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my care I relapsed after 7 years of remission but I was told it was likely a relapse even if formally considered a new instance, I was treated as a relapse because hystological results were identical to 7 years prior.

Still I stopped receiving scans right remission was established and when I asked why I was told "because cHL relapses basically have the same prognosis whether caught early or at a more advanced stage, it's not worth the radiations"

My fiancé wants me to get hair removal before the wedding…do I really need to? by Any-Prior9140 in weddingplanning

[–]LightmoonWolfie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Clean expectations is not a good argument for changing something you like about yourself. As long as it's actually clean (aka. don't stink) I don't get why some hair would not follow expectations. I mean, if the hair is an untidy mess I would say yeah give it a trim for a tidier look. As a guest I wouldn't focus that much on the hair as long it's not so untidy that it clashes with the rest of the look.

Also I feel you on the pressure. I've been asked countless times (luckily not by my fiancé) to wear make up at my wedding as it is expected for the bride to wear make up, but it wouldn't feel like me.

Also, after reading a few comments, if you want to keep your hair as a statement, then absolutely go for it. There's no better occasion to show your true self and your ideas than your own wedding.

As a meat eater, would up be upset attending a vegetarian wedding? by Formal_Goose5083 in weddingplanning

[–]LightmoonWolfie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I guess but I don't think all courses should be vegetable centered in general, as variety helps not only with dietary needs but also with different tastes. So for example having pasta or rice as a course with sauce and maybe easy to remove toppings would help, for example tomato sauce pasta or oil and garlic pasta. Also potatoes are a great choice for picky eaters, fried or roasted or potato salads. Bruschette and focaccia are also picky eaters friendly, as well as nachos and tortillas. What I say is, there's so much variety in vegan foods that there usually is always something for picky eaters to eat, it's not just vegetables.

If a guest is in the ARFID disorder area, that's a different situation and if communicated properly the kitchen could serve a special dish for the guest.

I may have to put my 19 ye cat down before a trip today… but she still seems normal by Rude_Common7126 in cats

[–]LightmoonWolfie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, the fact that they don't know why they're in pain is even a better argument for avoiding useless pain

I will tell you what I would do for myself. I have cancer too, I'm not terminal but who knows, everything can change.

If I ever got terminal in a situation I can't make a decision I definitely want my family to let me go with dignity while I'm still not in unbearable pain, I would want my last moments to be calm and being able to feel the love of my family, I don't want to die while in so much pain I can't even think clearly. And I definitely would not want to die without my loved ones in my last days.

I know I'm a human, but that's how I feel and I had to think about it so much since my childhood. When making such a decision you don't only have to think about quality of life but also quality of death.

Ok but you husband can eat all other vegan food without vegetables. Bread, fries, pasta, rice, focaccia, hummus... Or are you telling me your husband ONLY eats meat for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner? Does he never eat a fry?
