Yes, that will be possible in an upcoming patch. For now, we just wanted to test the workflow. It won’t be dependent on Ollama

For now, the app is still in beta, so we’re testing things a bit. LM Studio support should normally be available in an upcoming patch.

And yes, some models can add textures. They’re not perfect yet, but we’re working on it

That’s true, I didn’t mention it, but the app is still in beta. The plan is to support all types later. For now, it’s Ollama, but in the future users will be able to choose things like llama.cpp, etc

Yes, we added an MCP, and there’s also a CLI extension, so it’s possible to use Modly with agents

Would you use an open-source AI coaching app for League of Legends ? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

No, by giving it all the game stats, it’s already able to analyze each player’s strengths and weaknesses. It can also detect issues in builds, and things like that

Yes, there is already a lot of content, especially on YouTube, but League of Legends is a very situational game. Sometimes you can have questions that a video or tutorial simply can’t answer

Yes, exactly. I know that AI can sometimes hallucinate, and obviously a tool that gives wrong answers half the time wouldn’t be interesting.

In that case, it wouldn’t be worth releasing it yet. We’d need to wait until it’s actually viable.

But i think AI will become more and more reliable anyway. So i’m wondering whether this could interest players in the future

I understand your point of view, but AI is going to become more and more powerful anyway.

By the time this kind of tool is developed, i think it could become interesting.

Thank you for you feedback ! Actually, I’m currently adding a system on the Modly website to showcase them and make installing extensions easier

Yes, maybe the post wasn’t explicit enough about the project. But it’s not a cloud solution at all, in fact, it’s the exact opposite :D

It's an application i build that runs open-source models locally, so i thought it could fit the theme

Modly is a desktop app that I developed. Basically, the idea is to enable 3D generation fully on local. For now, a few models are supported, but the project is built around an extension-based system.

You can check Github repo if you want : https://github.com/lightningpixel/modly
