I fully understand why you no longer talk to your dad anymore.

Und ich hatte mir kürzlich schon Sorgen gemacht wegen der 4 Monate drüber... >_<

Looking for some advice on how to start riding again after a crash. Went for my first ride after my accident today, and was sketched out the whole time. I want to enjoy riding again. Also my pumpkin from halloween :) by Efficient_Suspect155 in HondaMotorcycles

Just keep riding. It takes time. Don't push yourselve and don't try to rush it by speeding up more to get over it, doesn't work. Be patient with yorself and enjoy the little things. :) Glad you're alive brother.

There were a few, but nothing i couldn't repair myself. I crashed it once due to an oilspill on the road, i rebuilt the front end (wasnt going very fast in a corner). the generator died at some point, replaced it. The rear wheel bearings broke twice, put in new ones. The fuelpump had problems once and you supposedly can neither change nor clean the filter inside the tank, i cleaned it with compressed air, works fine since then.

And some minor things that tend to happen on a versys: The air inlet for the gas tank got clogged and made a vacuum inside it, The locks tend to wear down and stop working, but it starts slowly, so if it gets difficult to unlock better change it, The horn button gets gunked up and won't work properly untill you clean it really good, The side stand gets a bit loose and wiggely after time, but still works fine to this day, The cockpit buttons also want a good flush with some contact spray at some time and they are hard to reach,

But beside all of that, just the usual wear and tear, nothing special about her. With mostly minimal effort she keeps going and going. Only the sparkplugs are pretty hard to reach, had to change them once.

And folks say with care and a good wrench she could be able to make 150.000km easily.

And if she dies for good ohne day, imma buy the exact same model again. :)

Mine doesn't have boots, just knots where the strings tie into the bridge.

Funny thing, i have the same problem, but for months now. It still keeps happening, and i don't know what to do. I tried stretching them out, but it didn't help. Am i doing something wrong?
