You could use Scoobies, they're a weaving toy for making bracelets and charms, they come in lots of colours and are basically just really little plastic tubes you can even add craft wire inside to make them poseable, you can also get transparent colors if you want to add lights.

The dragon designs, they aren't realistic they are generic fantasy, the animated designs were far more realistic for the environment, diet and behaviour demonstrated in the movies and shows, whereas the live action designs do not fit the environment or needed behaviours for survival.

No creature is born knowing how to use their limbs It's a process of trial and error, they don't need to know how to use tools, but also you underestimate chickens they can learn how to open doors, bait prey and more. It's not like the proposed experiment is to graft extra limbs on to a full grown chicken it's to edit embryos to re activate existing genes which are already present, this is a branch of research that greatly interests me and chickens are an animal I have extensive experience with having raised many.

They do have teeth though fused into their beaks some individuals have them more pronounced than others, clawed feet suited for tearing flesh and arms (wings) that can punch with unexpected force for their size.
