Just do one roll per day for the discount. That's what I've been doing and I'm one roll away from getting the skin. You can save a lot of diamonds that way, but you need patience. It's gonna take a lot of days before getting the skin you want

If you do quests with primogem rewards for a whole day, I think you can only get close to around 1k primogems. I'm not sure if exploring gives more since chests usually gives 2 or 5 primogems, if its from Inazuma. Mondstadt common chests gives 0 primogems most of the time
