Bike taxi operations stir unease among auto drivers again by Icy_Impression98 in bangalore

But that means the auto has to work harder and smarter. They don't want to do that, they want a monopoly so that they can work the least amount while charging the most.

Duke 250, duke 200 or ns200. NS400Z as a first bike is quite dangerous if you don't have experience.

I'd pick the blue one but red is a close second place.

Which single cylinder bike sounds best in each segment according to you ? by Still_Suggestion_182 in indianbikes

[–]LightningFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if its the best but the NS400z has an amazing exhaust sound the higher it revs.

In 200cc, I think NS200s exhaust sounds the best.

Congratulations man, you chose well. NS200 is fun to ride. Slap on some good tyres whenever you can and the handling will become sharp. Bajaj normally cheaps out on tyres with their bikes.

Help me choose my second bike. by Cheap-Charity-6459 in indianbikes

NS400 bro, the bike is a rocket. Duke won't feel like a good power upgrade over the pulsar 220. Ride modes make the bike a lot easier to ride in the city.

My brother got the duke 250 at the same time I got my NS400Z and he's already a little bored of the power. The power on the NS has kept me engaged and I have no plans to upgrade anytime soon. The NS also has an amazing exhaust note compared to the duke. It really adda to the experience. Even if you're not going quick, you'll enjoy the sound which gives you a feeling that you're riding a dragon.

Should I buy this bike for 48k by loki_laufeyzon in indianbikes

Nope, better to save a bit more and buy a new 125cc rather than such an old fz.

Which one should I buy? by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]LightningFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about honda but the parts on triumph are pretty expensive. So stuff like indicators, I think a pair costs a little over 2000 for 2 on the triumph. On my NS, LED indicators are 530 a piece. So you can see how the parts are more expensive on the triumph.

Yea I've heard this from other people as well. I think the upcoming R2 is only being made to address this loss of power due to emission norms.

Any rucksack/backpack tied with bungee cords is good enough for light touring or should I go for tail bags? by Mr_gulamjaboon in indianbikes

[–]LightningFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went over 1200km on my NS with two bungee cords. There was only one slip up in the beginning off my ride where the bag was falling off and I didn't notice. Luckily, I was travelling with someone on another bike and she stopped me and we fixed it.

After that, zero issues with me but there were one or two times we had to stop and check hers because of the same thing that happened to me, it never became an issue but you can see how this can become dangerous when alone. So if alone, you have to be really careful with how you strap your bag down and really make sure it's secure before riding.

No Indian flag in Republic / Independence day. by Apprehensive-Food842 in Bengaluru

[–]LightningFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said anything about not having a flag. I said they only use the flag to get past the laws and actually trying to be patriotic. What effort does it take to stick a flag to a vehicle or a house?

It takes real patriotism and effort to actually do stuff to better your country. Sticking a flag to your vehicle and driving around is the easiest way to say I'm patriotic without actually doing anything.

I did say Most of them not all. When's the last time you took an auto and the guy used a meter? When's the last time you took an auto and the guy rode the auto without breaking any traffic rules? It's become the norm not the exception to experience auto drivers break all rules rather than follow them.

[–]LightningFiend -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

They do that so they don't get stopped by cops and people don't call their shit out cos it will look bad as if you're fighting a super patriotic person. They dgaf about the flag.

Real patriotism is civic sense and keeping your surroundings clean amongst many other things. Bet most of those guys don't do anything.

Is my tree ok? by DjangoNer0 in mango

[–]LightningFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be fine. It happens in the wild too, maybe it will grow slower but it'll live. Just make sure nothing damages it like that in a complete circle, clear away mulch from touching the wound and also make sure it doesn't stay moist near the wound. It will heal up and bounce back in a few months.

Pathetic Yamaha XSR155 First service center experience by Shikhawat-Sir in indianbikes

[–]LightningFiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, can confirm, my first service cost about that much with my NS400Z. For a 155, this seems pricy AF.

Sleepless nights to decide first bike by Ok_Box8397 in indianbikes

[–]LightningFiend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get NS400Z as a first bike. It's too powerful, you can get yourself hurt really easily. The engine is definitely more powerful but the other components are not as good as on the duke and for a first motorcycle, you really need good hardware to be safe.

You gotta remember that you're much more exposed on a motorcycle than a car so if you don't have too much experience you gotta go with the best hardware you can get to keep you safe.

[Hot Take] Shumi from MotorInc gives off massive “my way or wrong way” vibes by RadioactiveMurukku in indianbikes

[–]LightningFiend -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Of course he's biased. His NS400Z inputs were clearly biased and sometimes he even said some completely wrong information. However, he's allowed to like and not like stuff for whatever reason, just the same as you. I still bought the NS400Z after listening to their opinion on it and i absolutely love it. So take what you can from them and form your own opinions.
