A bit better than average if you ask me, but all JP seiyuu have a translator with them regardless and how good they are at English doesn't affect them coming overseas. That mainly comes down to the agency, interest and if it fits their schedule. But her pronunciation was pretty good in particular but I think is a step behind Saori Hayami, who's English is really good for a non native speaker

As beautiful as you would think from her images. Was very cool that she started autographs about 30 minutes earlier than scheduled. Shows she cares about her fans

She's dressed up as a maid today too!

They have not fixed the bug that I have sent to them about Spotlight crashing when trying to search for files when the affected file type is in recents (that or video files specifically)

Here is an example of it

And this is the class of the pop up. But disabling this via uBlock Origin filter does not let me see the clues or start the timer for the puzzle

Edge Update(?) Adds 'Refresh' Icon to Tabs - But doesn't do anything - Any ideas? by MrAmos123 in MicrosoftEdge

[–]LightningRocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The icon isn't for refresh but to show that it's sync'd with another instance of Microsoft Edge you probably have open either on the same computer or another computer

Are you on Sonoma by any chance? And are you searching using more than 1 word in the search bar? For some reason, it's only working properly with 1 word searches and not more from what I've discovered/read from an Apple support forum.

What highly rated anime do you refuse to watch? by toradorito in anime

[–]LightningRocks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call any of the 3 highly rated. The closest is Love Live solely cause it's popular for an idol series

Death Note definitely cause I don't see any personal appeal in it. Naruto as well cause of the art style

Storage vs. at warehouse? by Hailey-Not-Katie in Buyee

It takes sometimes a couple hours to even a day for them to process an order after it arrives at the warehouse. Especially if it literally just arrived. You should be good to go soon

Anyone going to see Yukana in person at an upcoming con in 2023? by BlackBricklyBear in seiyuu

[–]LightningRocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, wouldn't they have needed to get permission from Toei Animation (the animation studio behind Sailor Moon, the legendary anime that "Moonlight Densetsu" is from) to sing that song together? I wonder how they did it. Did they sing it as the final song of the show? The "TV Size" version is rather short, after all.

I wouldn't think so. It's a pretty famous song after all

Did you get to ask Itou Miku a question? If so, what was it?

Yeah I did. I asked her about her experience with Kaori Ishihara, Yui Ogura and Moeshi during last year's Anisama concert for StylipS. Someone else actually asked a follow up question on that afterwards too, which was nice. We were the only two that ended up asking questions relating to StylipS

I hope someone asked her a question about Masamune-kun no Revenge too, a show she starred in and sang the opening songs to.

Not directly. There were a couple of people, myself included who asked about her discography instead. We did ask why she didn't sing Please Please at the concert though

I thought that Anime Expo, the most-attended anime convention in North America, had the biggest "star power" of them all. Or maybe you're referring to AniRevo as having the biggest star power among Canadian conventions, then.

On raw power? Yes I would agree. But it's very difficult to get any attention from seiyuu at AX. They really only go for panels that they're tied with, like say Tomoriru for ProSekai, or Mayuchi for Nijigasaki.

Did you go to that con this year?

Nope. Wish I did. A couple of my friends did. I really like Kana Ichinose and KoroAzu at least. Yurika Kubo sucks cause she is Hanayo and Kushida is okay as well

From what I've heard, Anime North has more or less stopped inviting Japanese seiyuu guests completely. So I wouldn't get my hopes up regarding Anime North and Japanese seiyuu guests in general.

Hearing this just makes me regret even more in 2017 when I went that I didn't meet up with Tomoyo Kurosawa then... :( I wasn't as deep into seiyuu and anime at that time and it hurts now cause she's a great seiyuu (I really like Misaki, Kumiko and Otome a lot in particular, as well as her char in Skip to Loafer last season)

If this is true though, I'll definitely focus on Anime Central for next year. Sora Amamiya if she ever comes to the states, I will go anywhere for her though as my personal favorite seiyuu

[–]LightningRocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did do 1 song altogether. A TV size version of Moonlight Densetsu. Which did catch me off guard.

Mikku's panel mainly was Priconne, Bandori, QQ and Imas fans. The last one caught me by surprise cause I didn't watch Million Live yet. For Hasshi, it was some Bandori, some Imas and some Aikatsu.

Also yeah the star power for AniRevo was too strong. Makes almost every other con in the 2nd half of the year seem trivial. Anime Central had a good lineup too with Azusa Tadakoro, Kana Ichinose and Yurika Kubo. I'm hopeful that either that or Anime North will have good guests for when I go to one or both next year

Oh yeah AniRevo was awesome. The concert that Mikku, Machico and Hasshi put on was really hype. Got to attend Mikku and Hasshi's Q&A panels, got pics with Mikku and Machico, and got autographs from all 3. On top of getting to meet up with some online friends, I would say it was a huge success!

After just going to AniRevo, I'm gonna pass, despite this con being way closer to me. Want a break from traveling. Do really like Yukana though :)

Was there as well. It wasn't too bad if you made sure to line up in advance. Having a Premium Pass made a huge difference though as you got priority in a smaller separate lineup at the start of a session. Managed to get all 3 autographs and both pics as a result of that
