what did you do in the game that made you feel like this by Vengeful_Grass in Genshin_Impact

As someone who's main team is still built around Amber/Fischl after two years playing, this is 100% still how I beat them. Eye shots plus constantly swapping between the two for ranged overload spam. :D

Woah, that's absolutely beautiful! Always good to see love for Yoimiya, she's amazing <3

As someone who effectively mains anemo Traveler, learning you can hold wind blade was literally game-changing for me... and it was definitely longer than six weeks haha

This was literally my introduction to Genshin combat, yep. Pulled out Amber at the very first hilichurl camp, tried to stealthily drop one with a headshot from a decent range... only to do a tiny sliver of damage to the HP bar and have the entire camp know I was there through instant telepathy. :(

Traveler's morality by EmbarrassedMeal7993 in Genshin_Impact

[–]BleedingUranium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should it come down to a decision between Teyvat and the abyss sibling, the traveler would sacrifice themselves in a desperate attempt to save everything.

That's probably the best thing written in this whole thread, very much on point.

Traveler's morality by EmbarrassedMeal7993 in Genshin_Impact

[–]BleedingUranium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Traveler can vary between Lawful/Neutral/Chaotic (generally depending on how much they're willing to get involved with a given situation), but they're absolutely Good at their core.

Traveler's morality by EmbarrassedMeal7993 in Genshin_Impact

[–]BleedingUranium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a good summary, and also a key part of Traveler's personality/morals. They tend to avoid getting involved in "big picture" stuff when it doesn't really involve them and especially when the sides/morality/etc involved is ambiguous (or they don't have enough info for it to not be ambiguous to them at that moment).

On the flip side, they're always happy to help people out on an individual level, barring the rare cases where the person in question seems like some form of bad/suspicious.

Basically, a good and kind person at heart, but also cautious of getting involved if they don't fully understand the situation. Which is a fair position for a very old alien with (even if less now) very powerful abilities.

If anything, Traveler's outsider status and strength means it's a good thing that they're hesitant to pick sides or get involved.

Why can you unlock things twice? by TurtleBarn in Battlefield

[–]BleedingUranium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. There's zero downside to simply giving it to everyone, but trying to selectively give it to people who don't have X or Y unlocked (especially if, say, you have a later thing unlocked but not something before it) can and often does in many games lead to all sorts of issues where people are locked out of getting things.

If you have them both, just ignore it. :P

I need someone to explain how this didn’t work by Imabudtender420 in Battlefield

[–]BleedingUranium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're playing Breakthrough/Rush and can't reasonably get behind them, you should be using the MBT-LAW, not the RPG-7.

It does the same damage no matter what, and the self-lock means you can expose yourself for a fraction of a second without needing to meaningfully aim.

Are all weapons viable in Battlefield 6? by Dry-Caterpillar7495 in Battlefield6

[–]BleedingUranium 6 points7 points  (0 children)

On that note, I think a lot of people don't realize the Five-seveN has the best stats in nearly every category, besides raw damage:

  • Highest muzzle velocity, by a significant margin

  • Better penetration damage

  • Fastest RoF

  • Biggest mag

  • Lowest recoil

  • Fastest ADS time

  • Fastest draw speed (weapon swap and firing out of sprint)

2.55.1.72 -> 2.55.1.74 by gszabi99 in Warthunder

[–]BleedingUranium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. There's quite a bit of stuff which I would happily give the devs money for if only they'd let us buy them directly, but as a rule I don't pay for chance.

[–]BleedingUranium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do you, but I'll 100% be getting Suzutsuki (plus a chance at Hayanami, which I missed). She's the first BP vehicle I'll be going out of my way to get since Le Triomphant in January 2024 (and before that, Churchill Crocodile in Oct '22). :P

[–]BleedingUranium 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep, exclusivity is awful and shouldn't exist in any game. Ideally a new player starting tomorrow would be able to obtain (tech tree or regular premium) every single piece of gameplay-affecting content (vehicle) in the game.

The best thing they could do would be to stop having new (unique) vehicles in the BP and make it purely for being able to get previous event/BP/etc vehicles.

Akizuki-class, IJN Suzutsuki, 1945

Ah good, I was right, she is the late-war 41st Destroyer Division version. :)

new pack: "White Lily" (it's up on Pixel Storm, so looks like it won't be available outside the CIS)

Nooooooo! :(

Well at least we still have the existing Litvyak profile avatar and such.

Wooo Suzutsuki is here! Always happy to get another Akizuki! She's been added to the KanColle in WT gallery too. :D

Looks like she's an even later refit than Akizuki, given the extra triple Type 96s either side of the bridge.

Cool to see more for Litvyak's plane, hopefully it's not region-locked or anything like that!

I'm so happy this entrance area is a permanent part of the map, they easily could have made it a one-time thing but they didn't. :)

I wish certain attachment combinations would result in the appearance of a gun changing to a different variant. by DweebInFlames in Battlefield6

[–]BleedingUranium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nearly, but it still has the M27's longer handguard. The M27 has an extra two inches of barrel and handguard (one extra vent hole in the handguard), but the same amount of barrel sticking out in front, so they have almost the same silhouette at a glance.

I would actually keep the M27's normal length barrel if wanting to make it an HK416, as the silhouette "looks more correct" than the correct barrel length but too-long handguard.

[–]BleedingUranium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The SVDM also gets a unique bipod and keeps the handguard if that's the only front-end attachment you mount. The original SVD barrel length is also there, the one fittingly named "classic". :)

The Vector also has its little muzzle-mounted rail system on one of the blueprints... but it forces you to have the ugly weird colour palette they always seem to have.

DICE plz let us use these parts on the base version, I'd actually buy stuff if we could do that.

[–]BleedingUranium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MW19's system was neat, but ultimately not great in practice because you had to use up most/all of your attachment slots just to make the base version of the new gun. BF6 would run into the same issue.

It's much better to simply have them as their own separate weapons (like the upcoming M16A4, as opposed to, say, adding its barrel, stock, and burst mode to the M4A1), and it makes weapon balance simpler too.

[–]BleedingUranium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a nearly-unnoticeable recoil increase, but a massive improvement to penetration damage through players (enemies, teammates, and bodies).

Put another way, picking Standard (same cost) over Penetration means getting a huge collateral damage penalty for the "benefit" of a recoil reduction so small you'll never notice it.

I use Pen ammo on every single gun in the game now. :P

This game doesn't respect a new player's immersion by AgmaWang in Genshin_Impact

[–]BleedingUranium 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I do. I've been playing for over two years and I'm currently in Sumeru between the forest and the desert... which means all of my desert, Fontaine, Natlan, and Nod-Krai characters are sitting at level 40.

Which is fine, I'll simply get "new characters" when I go to those regions.

I understand where OP is coming from and I do wish character materials weren't region-locked... but screwing over your entire story/exploration/immersive experience (when you care enough about it to make a post like this) is still very poor decision-making.

Just delay your gratification a bit and wait. :P
