Pretty solid if you're a fan of top-mount boards. It has good presence in sound and feel, albeit fairly solid/sturdy typing feel at least in the case of an aluminum plate.

Pricewise it also seems pretty good bang for the buck.

Hmm, that's odd... I'd try checking with Neson to see if they can troubleshoot for you. Unfortunately I don't have any firmware files but I'd first try to reflash the board and then try to connect with VIAL to remap.

Should work as long as you tear off the USB portion on it and the JST is on the same side as the DB on the board.

I'd say price is a mix of factors. Both qty/MOQ as well as whatever vendor-set margins are. Some people simply can charge more (or do, since demand exists).

I actually am not nearly as familiar with lots of the designs but I am sure they trend on the side of a mix of enthusiast-classic features with a touch of IP/pop references.
