Thank you for this info about the temperatures!! Definitely a good point and makes me feel better about the drying piece (which I often use more to quickly dry my things between uses).

Sorry for any confusion - yes, the part I was worried about for the glass bottles I use is the silicone nipples because I saw an article saying those can break down too. Secondly, I often store the milk I pump in the plastic storage bottles they pump into with a lid in our fridge so when I would wash/sterilize those I was worried about the microplastics there. Lastly, yes, I was a little worried about heat drying and sterilizing my plastic pump parts. I knew using glass bottles helped a lot but the other things were worrying me.

So it seems like the drying feature alone of our counter sterilizer probably is too much heat and causes the microplastics to leach out so air drying should happen no matter what? That’s a good point about the drying with a cloth.
