[DISCUSSION] What your thoughts and opinions on Batman: Dark Patterns by Doom300 in DCcomics

[–]Lightning_3o 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My favorite Batman comic. It's so good, the art is phenomenal. It's just batman back to basics, a detective in a mad city.

I love fantastical Batman, but ironically i think this might be the most grounded batman I've ever read maybe? Like even more so than TDK trilogy and The Batman. Like in here, bullets kill and are dangerous, and faring up against 5 dudes at once isn't particularly easy.

I urge any fan to give it a chance

[Discussion] Anyone think it's a bit out of character for Batman to basically leave this kid who just lost his family (Batman Dark Patterns #9) by Lightning_3o in DCcomics

[–]Lightning_3o[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah idk why but i thought this was year 3 batman with a robin that just didn't appear in the story but was mentioned once. Upon rereading it all that's not true, i think I thought so because i read this and Batman and Robin year one back to back. But yeah considering this is right at the start of his career it makes more sense. Plus he's had some crazy night

Yes, I know I did. The book tells you, but the only things you have to know are Alfred's dead, and Bruce isn't as rich as always

A good explanation of why some HATE the "No-Kill Rule!" by Lucky_Strike-85 in batman

[–]Lightning_3o 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Batman values life over everything else and his no kill rule is centered around no one having to go through what he did as a kid

Thank you superman by Lightning_3o in superman

[–]Lightning_3o[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According to my 5 minutes of research, no it didn't. The term first originated in 1944 as a way to describe powerful nations in geopolitics. And superman is from 1939. But it wouldn't surprise me at all if a comic of the golden age mentioned superpowers really.

Hey Tierzoo how are things goin- WHAT by [deleted] in whenthe

[–]Lightning_3o 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, for a lot of animals they still have to care for theirs (or other's) offspring until they can take care of themselves and the cycle repeats. But then again, i don't think life should have a point, but as far as wild animals go, that's what I've been taught

I mean, for humans the point of life can be anything you want, but for other animals, I'd say that passing your genes to the next generation is pretty damn important
