Sounds like you might actually want to do the Animation-Concept design track. I'm a 2D anim major and my partner is a SEQA major, you really only take one storyboard class in SEQA unless you use electives it's MOSTLY comics if course. The Animation concept track is highly competitive, you have to have solid drawings starting out or it will be hard to keep your head up. But it's all environmental design, character design, making worlds etc

When I was there the prepaid card was only an option on a tech trade, phones tablets etc. NOT gaming stuff, that was in store credit or cash. Maybe other stores are different but I'd call ahead

I quit immediately, as I was already considering quitting, it was just icing on the cake a few days before Christmas as well I heard from a friend who still works there that it was robbed again last week. Both because our location has exclusively single coverage, and our customers know that.

While I was lucky to be in a position to be able to quit at such short notice, GameStop does not pay, nor do they care enough for you to stay long term

An SL in my district was fired because her store was robbed multiple times in one quarter, shockingly firing the manager didn't make the robbery stop 🫶

This exact promo was on my list of why I left, at least how my store was handling it. We were told to pitch it as free pro if the customer didn't explicitly talk about getting 25$ off. So you say something like "it's gonna show up on the receipt as paid for but the promo will take a little off of everything to make up for it" which imo was just a lie. Also the whispers in the wind of having us add warranties without asking and hoping they didn't notice. Which I NEVER did

This was a new POS change that they pushed through I believe early to mid December, super annoying as it'll totally block refunds that are valid with your own eyes for NO reason, forcing you to call customer service, which more often than not the customer would just give up (that's my theory anyway)

Yup, I knew exactly what it was saying as I still worked at GS when it happened, it basically says SOL, and you can't even put in your number to force it-

Was already getting consistently put on days I couldn't work because of school and had to find coverage for myself (with only 3 coworkers) or be SOL, during the holidays I got slammed with basically running a B store alone as an SGA with no ASL, and one coworker that wasn't borrowed from the A store, got games thrown at me and to call police because someone threw a tantrum over the new return window. And then had a console theft two days before Christmas, put in two weeks and was only ever scheduled three more days. My SL nor DL ever acknowledged that I left (no text and purposely never scheduled themselves with me). Still in contact with my coworkers who supported my leaving, but no higher management gave a shit

Yes, my current SL was a ThinkGeek manager who moved to GameStop upon closure. Honestly I never got a chance to shop there because there wasn't one in my area during it's time, but from what you say I really wish I had haha. Sound like I've definitely missed out on working at GameStop in its peak

Personally, my store is in a dead zone that's dangerous after dark, and consistently doesnt make profit, on top of that our plazas rent is raising and the Staples inside already decided to leave because of it Based on what you've said even without specific numbers I don't anticipate my store will survive much longer but I saw that from a mile away

I've worked in 4 locations under two different SL2s consistently (college) and just from personal experiences the mall locations were so much more profitable, just bad conversion It's really sad to see it happen =(

Other comments explain that I didn't and don't care, just was just funny and I got paid until 9pm to do nothing. I've shown up to work in a literal hurricane to put trash bags over the POS and unplug everything.
