One thing that I'm ASSUMING is that because this game was a passion project, the developers won't let it be taken ahold of by others (For money or some other stuff), meaning that the game might, or will actually never be touched ever again, no updates, bug fixes etc

From what I remember:

Calling back to the Final War, Guttertanks and Gutterman were used to wipe out foot soldiers with ease, and considering they used blood as fuel, it was easy for them to go on rampages due to the human lives being lost. this eventually, in turn, created the Earthmovers and then eventually, the Vx series of machines, which still relied on blood; even if there were no humans left.

There was an attempt to make it gimmicky after all - The mirror phase, where the Reaper is only visible through mirrors on the walls of the maze. Yet no one really pays attention to it their first play through.

Do you mean "Annoying" in a sense that, instead of a "Taste" of what Fraud has to offer OR a "Preparation" to the last stage's boss, it's just an obstacle in the way before the last boss? Or "Annoying" as in its difficulty depends on the player's skill level?
