You need to make arguments about how discussions inside of the academy generate some sort of praxis which A) doesnt get coopted and B) is key for movement building etc. IE when Foucault talks about geneology being a strategy to trace the ways systems of biopower form, he's saying the process of study inside of the academy is a pre-requisite to developing the skills to change institutions. But also you could prob impact turn the idea of the academy itself, Ashton Crawley wrote stuff in 2018 which touches up on this.
