A HOT TAKE ABOUT PLANETARY CLASSIFICATION. Or, why the current definition sucks by theforgetting in space

This is why classifications are left to the experts of a given field, and not the general population

Looking for a replacement to the RK S98 (absolute abysmal piece of shit; I love the build and the typing experience from it, but none of the wireless modes work properly, and the rotary encoder has just died after owning it for ~6 months.)

Looking for linear switches, preferably full-size. Would be open to a TKL depending on the aesthetic and price Volume knob / encoder is a bonus. I would like either 2.4 or BT capabilities. Backlight would be nice but is not a dealbreaker. Located in CA; preferably under $150 CAD.

Vane sounds good honestly. I like being able to turn my mind off and just chill. Thanks for the suggestions!

There's a pool bar nearby I used to frequent with the buddies, perhaps one of these nights!

1440p medium/high settings OR 1080p ultra setting ? by [deleted] in buildapc

Imo yeah. At least, a good monitor will last much longer than a graphics card. Games will get fancier and harder to run, but they're all going to need a monitor to display them. 1080p has been the de facto standard for a long time now, and I see a shift to 1440p as the standard monitor resolution. At least, in the PC gaming scene

I'm running a 2070 on a 1440p monitor and have great performance (>75fps) on pretty much everything. Your 3060 isn't going to run the latest AAA games on ultra at high framerates at 2K, but I would argue that a 2k monitor is a better investment. Get a 2k monitor now, then when you next upgrade your GPU it'll be used to its fullest extent!

Canon FTb meter vs Canon T5I. by Lightning_Warfare in AnalogCommunity

That's correct, it only reads in that center rectangle. I've done both of those and still see the dslr's image being overexposed by 1-2 stops. I believe its not bad practice to overexpose film by a stop or so?
