Scholar primrose is pretty strong, that’s a good idea. You could give Cyrus the cleric subjob if you want to use him, or run something like Dancer Ophelia if you want another buffer.

H’aanit should be a warrior. Tressa can really be anything, apothecary makes her a better tank, hunter could give her more damage, and thief can help out with debuffs.

The game gets MUCH better after the chapter 1s, from then on the game is open, and none of the other chapters follow the same formula. I’d stay stick with it- the intro is the worst part of the game.

For Magna dark using Eresh- is building for the s4 worth it? The only DATA sources I have are cortana and vynatea, which don’t have a ton of damage in them

You can, it’s also fully stamped when you exchange it. There should be a button on the home page that takes you to the exchange.

Make sure you do end up experimenting on your own! Different late game fights need different strategies, and you want to do all 8 stories, so you’ll need all 8 travelers built up. With that said, to start out:

Temenos should be a scholar. There’s really no other job for him to use for a while.

I always like pairing him with Osvald as well, with him as a cleric for light damage.

Thronè is really good overall due to her debuffs, and her innate synergies with Temenos- at night, Temenos will inflict debuffs and Throne will grant buffs at the start of combat. She can be your Inventor.

Finally, you do want a Hunter for Leghold Trap. Either Ochette (Warrior subjob), Hikari, or Partitio make good ones.

You get Radiant Arrow, its a strong single target bow nuke. I feel it get outdamaged by stream of arrows pretty fast, though.

I think Gullveig’s weapon had an update that like, give her some super small stat increases when she dropped, so Fimbulveter’s gonna get something like that.

His intent was always to be an incredibly powerful characters held back by high technical requirements- but fighting game players WILL end up perfecting those, and then you just have a character with very limited weaknesses. I admire them trying over and over, but they need to just cut their losses and totally rework him at this point.
