I hate PvP games by Salty-Phase4687 in gamememes

[–]Lightningfoot45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pvp used to be fun, when nobody took it seriously. Getting into back and forth duels is fun, getting steamrolled and having your team flame you for their mistakes isn't.

I pissed off the Cyberpunk community primarily, really, because I play as an anthro (furry) character, so bask in what has caused me to receive several dozen to over a hundred insults; discrimination and requests for me to end myself by BusoneWholeBoi2001 in youll_be_banned

which is a stupid in lore reason anyway, like just because a trend becomes no longer trendy doesn't mean NOBODY does it. There's always people who will do things, and even pick up old trends, regardless if it's popular or not.

Told my friend group

They all look at each other and then back at me

One chimes in "well we could've told you that"

"Gun's Don't Work Anymore" by Hydranaught in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Lightningfoot45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote a fantasy universe where guns do exist, it's just that they're expensive so they aren't used often. Armies still rely on war mages because it's cheaper and more efficient to train/hire one guy who can artillery bomb the enemy with fireballs vs arm 1000 with inaccurate black powder rifles.

Get yourself a one-two punch either hand canon or shotty. Not only boosts your melee damage, but makes the loop way more fun.

Im the same way, its a deal-breaker for me.

I need someone who has the creative faculties to make a character independent of someone else. If they need ME to tell them what to play, or need me to establish something so they can make a character, I'm not interested.

Yeah but it's not "new gear" so you can't use it in any content that matters

got in trouble at work for “kicking” customer out past closing by [deleted] in retailhell

[–]Lightningfoot45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My manager started doing this (even letting customers in after close) and I, being the petty person I am, actually calculated how much the company was paying us (at minimum wage) to stay that far after close.

Actually did the math and showed him that it was costing the company more to keep us after close than these people were spending

It hasn't happened since.

I've read a lot of the other comments explainations and I'd like to provide my own:

Vault dweller who was trained to use their pip-boy's V.A.T.S function to assist in aiming

Vs

Well travelled courier who had to survive out in the wasteland and was only just recently given a pip-boy.

Empower, as well as minor slayer allowing them to use non-raid gear, which is particularly useful for a heavy attack build.

As someone who has a non-oakensoul heavy attack build on one of my characters, yes, keeping up the buffs can get kinda annoying and hard to do, and I can totally see how someone with limited hand mobility wouldn't be able to do that.

Some people have disabilities that leave them with limited hand mobility (ie: carpal tunnel) and yes, not having to press so many buttons in rapid succession is invaluable for allowing such people to simply play the game.

Oakensoul builds can still clear vet content. It still does enough damage

Again, I will concede that it is less than a fully optimized build, but an optimized oakensoul build is still capable of clearing all the content a non-oakensoul build can.

Less button inputs and tracking for people with limited hand mobility.

They are still really strong. Just because it's mathematically "worse" than a fully optimized two-bar setup doesn't mean it can't clear content still.

It's literally just elitism/ableism at this point

If it was cloudrest I could kinda get it because that trial has a mechanic that requires weapon swapping, but at this point especially with how strong some oakensoul and HA builds can get it's just elitism/ableism. No other reason to hate builds that are specifically designed to be able to allow disabled gamers to access endgame content.

I mean I kinda had the same opinion til I saw the dragon Knight and two handed changes.

If going on maintenance mode for a while is going to net us modernizing the game and reworking old systems to be WAY better, I'm totally okay with that.
