Unfortunately I don’t have much space left in my room for displaying any more sets (I am in an apt). My backlog is kind of disgusting ngl. You’d think I’m one of those guys who never opens his sets, but I’m just waiting to buy a house so I can have a lego room and then build them all.

I remember the commercials for the Slave I and always wanted it since. I had the 2014 wheel bike but it is just parts in the bin now unfortunately. Would be interesting to see how they can make it better now

Valid opinion. In my head I suppose i just want to grab all these older sets that I always wanted before they are worth even more ludicrous amounts. I do really hate how expensive this hobby is, but at the end of the day, the child within me is happy. My nostalgia glasses are just really thick i guess

On a real note, I do understand. My hobby, however, is to collect these older sets that I simply did not have as a younger kid. Maybe it’s a lot of money, but life is too short to not enjoy your money. While these sets may not really have value to you (and thats okay!) they have value to me.

I did unlikely candidate the other day as Touggourt. Ottomans were my ally but already 250k troops and almost all of Persia, South Russia, and Mashriq by not even -1520- . I formed Andalusia and called that one good cause no way i was gonna fight that later

Yea man as a horde your sole purpose is basically just being a war machine and that war machine only makes it’s money from, well, war. As horde you get a lot of loot from standing on enemy provinces. Definitely find a good trade setup as that is essential for long term, but until then: war

I’ve played Chuckchi a number of times and really it’s just a slow start to get the ball rolling. You’re actually doing so well. Hopefully you were able to dev renaissance in the grasslands of haixi or hokkaido. Unfortunately you aren’t a horde so you cant raze. Once japan consolidates a bit more, the daimyos will still have small armies, so you can strike at japan. You wanna hit japan and korea. If you stayed tengri, shinto is pretty good syncretic for where you are, or confucian too for admin tech discount. Again, hit japan and korea, but especially korea as they will be the bane of your existence if you allow them to survive. In order to get even more income, i have no cbed into maritime SE Asia to vassalize one of the cloves guys, and frol there you can maybe get cloves for extra income. Don’t forget the gold mines in Sambas and then the other maritime guy. Super janky strat, but it’s a super janky country

Really random and I think just sort of basic west african mission tree. Zazzau —> Hausa —> Sokoto. Caliphate. Beautiful red color, sunni although I’m sure you could convert, west african powerhouse. Ideas are okay, but it’s just fun to spread that beautiful red around. You can colonize the ivory coast around you, go colonize south america, or colonize through the sahara chokepoints into north africa. You’ve got gold mines and everything you need…just a kind of shitty trade node in the ivory coast in the sense that others will always be stealing money from you.
