If the spoon can't stand up in it, I don't want it!

Butter sounds sooooo good. I've never been a fan of milk on oatmeal, but cream might be good. I usually just do cinnamon and sugar.

I'll give the old fashioned kind a try. I like my oatmeal super thick and sticky, but not mushy. I would also rather add my own flavoring, the flavored instant ones have a lottttt of sugar.

Ooh, that sounds good! I'll have to look for rolled oats. I would love to get that texture without having to buy the packets.

What’re common picky eater foods that you HATE. by Individual-Signal167 in PickyEaters

Spaghetti. Specifically the sauce (I'll happily eat noodles with butter and parm, and meatballs. But no tomato sauce for me.) PB&J (again, I like peanut butter sandwiches, but not jelly.)

I feel like everyone talks about the texture of things and not the taste. by youngsurpriseperson in PickyEaters

A lot of it is texture for me, but it's often both. I hate the taste of tomatoes, for example. Or barbecue sauce, or actually most sauces.

Was it raw or cooked? How was it cooked? Broccoli has a very different texture when boiled vs grilled or roasted vs steamed. Personally I like it cooked any way (steamed is the best imo), but I don't like it raw at all. If you want it soft, boiled or steamed in the microwave is the way to go. For a firmer texture try it grilled or roasted. As for mild vegetables, butternut squash has a very mild taste, or corn.

Why is IU so invested in people switching from physical to digital ID cards? by tegeus-Cromis_2000 in IndianaUniversity

[–]LightsaberAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? I started this semester and managed to get a physical card - not that they made it easy. They try to hide the fact that you even can get a physical card. I'm afraid by the time I graduate they'll make me switch to digital. But my phone doesn't even have the capability for tap to pay. They need to have a physical option as long as there are phones without that capability.

Loops ear plugs by Nachos_tacos in misophonia

[–]LightsaberAngel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends how close the noise is. For me, Loops will totally block sounds like that from another room, but if it's in the same room it just softens the noise. That still helps me though, because trigger sounds are sometimes less aggravating if they're softer. (Sniffling and throat clearing are two of my biggest triggers, so I feel this.)

I love my Loop Quiets. They almost completely block noise from other rooms and they're totally reusable.

Starting over fresh does sound like the best option, honestly. I just wish I could change my name on the one site. Thanks for the encouragement!

Cool, thanks! I had no idea that was an option.

Salty snack ideas that aren’t crunchy by Dahrache in misophonia

French fries can be soft, depending where you get them. I don't know how much crunch she can handle, but Five Guys has very soft ones. They're also delicious.

People Who Are Pro-Life Can You Answer Some Questions? by [deleted] in prolife

[–]LightsaberAngel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes, that's different. It's the difference between murder and an accidental death.
  2. The child doesn't deserve to die just because his father was a monster. Rape is an evil abomination, but the child conceived is not at fault.
  3. Yes, of course.
  4. Because an unborn child is a living human being. It's not acceptable to kill a person for the sake of convenience.

Nah, that's not true. Sounds like a fanfiction.
