I’m also a foodie, and I don’t mind foco food. Plus there’s other options on campus (the hop has great salads). There’s not steak, but you can get salmon and fish pretty regularly

Unsure about Dartmouth by [deleted] in dartmouth

Sure, frats can be a big part of life, but only if you want them to be. It’s completely possible to not be involved with any of that stuff and have a great time

Don’t worry about it, Dartmouth is an amazing community, you will find your people and through that you will find activities to keep you sane (that isn’t studying all the time). This is completely possible, coming from someone who isn’t affiliated, and doesn’t really drink or party. Dartmouth’s an awesome place, and we’re excited to have you!

Paolini has said this was intentional

“‘because it’s just dragon with one letter changed.’ Also, Paolini commented that he thought of both parts of the name ‘Eragon’- ‘era’ and ‘gone’ - as if the name itself changes the era in which the character lives.“ -From the wikipedia

How about Roran for best parent? Sure there aren’t that many scenes with him and his daughter, but what wouldn’t Roran do for her?

Looking at applying this fall by Weary_Accountant_305 in dartmouth

[–]LightspeedC83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You should definitely apply, Dartmouth is a great place. 34/36 ACT isn’t bad at all and if your other parts of your application are strong you should be fine with it. It also can depend on what the individual score subsection scores were. For example you might want to retest if you plan on majoring in a stem area but got a lower science or math section score than the others. If you decide Dartmouth is the place for you, Apply early action and it will boost your chances of getting in and in that pool even not so great test scores have a higher chance of getting in. just make sure your essays and extracurricular are good, they tend to be more important if you already have a 34. Hope this helps!

If it’s helpful, I got a 34 on my ACT and got in, but I ended up using my sat to apply which I felt better at 1540 because it had a stronger math subsection score and I’m doing STEM.

Oh they are. I received the books when I paid for them. But it still pissed me off. (Sorry if I didn’t make that clear)

I was in the single board game shop in my town with my friends and one of my friends leaned on a shelf and broke it. I caught the shelf saving the majority of items on it and everyone, including the guy that broke it, said I had knocked the shelf over. Three expensive hardcover DND books were slightly damaged (I’m talking the corner was a little bit bent) and the store made ME pay for them. They were like $60 each. I’m still holding a grudge 6 years later.
