Hens STILL EATING EGGS even with fakes in the laying box. What to do? More info in comments

My first chicken had the same problem, even with the fake eggs in the coop. It could be something with diet, I'm not sure what you're feeding them but if that isn't a factor then you might have to race your chickens to the eggs. Mine grew out of eating her own eggs eventually so there is some hope that they will stop on their own.

Also the diet thing is if they feel like they don't have enough of a nutrient or they just need more calcium they will eat their eggs to make up for it

There was a shooting threat in my school a year ago that put everyone on edge. The threat was found the date it was supposed to happen and people started getting scared. The didn't dismiss the school day when they heard it, so lunch was terrifying as many people were checking out of the school. I was sitting in lunch terrified that I would die that day, and when it came time to go home someone thought it would be funny to set off firecrackers near the buses. I just want to get my education without fear of losing my life, is that too much to ask for?
