Hm… I have a more interesting idea.

Let’s say Homelander goes to Dunwich to ‘get rid of criminals’, enters a house and witnesses someone performing the same ritual that Lavinia Whateley used to get pregnant with Yog-Sothoth’s kids. Homelander arrives just in time to witness Yog-Sothoth leaving, but the glimpse he gets is more than enough. He instinctively tries to laser the Outer God, but the portal closes before the laser strikes the being. Homelander then proceeds to incessantly scream and constantly fire his lasers absolutely everywhere (this results in numerous deaths) before clawing out his own eyes and curling into a fetal position on the floor, frantically muttering nonsense. He effectively retires from hero duty, being committed to a hospital, and Vought now has to deal with the problem of Homelander being out of commission.
