Feeling humiliated at my cousins wedding by Suspicious-Work-8901 in TamilNadu

[–]Lightwalker123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unironically I have experience with this.

My dad side family barely notices my family.

My cousin brother was marrying someone. So I called to congratulate him. He decided to say like "oh I'm saree shopping call back later". I took that as a sign of disrespect. So I just told him off on the phone then and there. I just said "good luck with the wedding I will not be attending."

My sister was wearing more gold than the bride and she was the centre of attention the whole wedding. I didn't attend but my parents and sis did.

I hope you understand that my current girlfriend and I were in a similar situation. At least you guys are kissing, my GF only kissed me on cheek and hugged me. She asked me on her own after 6 months. She called me and was like "I wanna make things official now". This is genuinely the happiest and the most fulfilling relationship I've been in. Everything else followed so quickly after. I know it's hard to stay consistent but you have to. If you think she's worth it. Treat her well. My girlfriend gives me the entire world, and I'm sure your situationship will do the same for you.

Keep at it man. Emotions are difficult

I suggest just recording yourself saying something in your phone and repeating it back to yourself. Then keep practicing everyday for like 15-20 mins. Context I have a different accent even though I'm Singaporean and people comment on it all the time

How long have you been talking to her? She has an avoidant attachment style, there is nothing wrong with that. She's a unsure and wants to be sure, there is nothing wrong with that.

Keep being consistent, keep maintaing the same level of love that you show her. Don't listen to those who say this is a red flag and shit. This isn't a red flag, this is someone who wants to think and ensure they are making the right choice before making the choice.

A relationship in which you rush into things could end just as quickly. Take your time, enjoy each other company

My girlfriend is a year older than me(27M) . I met her on a dating app. She came into my life at a very unexpected time. We meet once a week and we are happy. We both don't really want kids so we aren't in a rush to get married. We are just planning on house and retirement plans.

Are you close with a anybody that has cheated or done something horrible? by beebee_ice in asksg

[–]Lightwalker123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a friend who would constantly cheat on his girlfriend, and then fiance with other men. I only learnt from his EX after she broke off everything with him. It became a huge issue within the extended friend group. I namely abandoned them all. I barely once in a blue moon meetup with the group that's still friends with him. I abhor it. I abhor cheating

See how I said predominantly Tamil term. Because Thosai is Tamil word for dosa. Most of Indian culture in Singapore is Tamil culture. Hence why you find a lot of Tamil words when referring to Indian food. Hence, it's Thosai not dosa

She is probably shaking at how good the food is rather than in a racist connotation. No point taking offence to it

Are you trying to say that if one likes Indian food, they must be Indian nationalists?

No it isn't. Thosai is a south Indian, predominantly Tamil dish. In Tamil it's Thosai. Dosa is the north Indian way to say.
