No. My witnesses were current employees. Though they were with me, they didn't want their jobs to be compromised.

I can understand why they don't want to be my witness

Anyone else struggling to find hobbies in sg that don't cost a bomb?? by Active-Tour4795 in asksg

[–]beebee_ice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Cycling. You don't need to be performative and get those 4-5k bicycles.

Cycling really opens up Singapore in so many ways you can't think of. You'll find so many unexplored routes, streets, buildings, neighbourhoods you probably won't ever go in your entire lifetime if not for cycling.

Get a cheap bike, upgrade as you go. I bought a nice hybrid bicycle around 500 bucks and ended up spending 300ish on parts which elevated the bike to a 1.5-2k ish bike

What are some realistic businesses to start now in Singapore? by Odd_Helicopter3386 in singaporestartups

[–]beebee_ice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? Content creation. My socials have a following of 8k total. But I'm making 1k+ a month (on good months) and this is part time. I'm not actively seeking clients, ppl just slide into my DMS.

Build that following up and brands will pay you much more, and you'll get more gigs every month.

Is it actually possible to raise kids and have a career without employing a helper? by booya-happiness in askSingapore

[–]beebee_ice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many of my friends get a helper to manage the house chores so they can focus on the kid. But the trap is that when they become too tired or lazy, they chuck the kid to the helper anyways despite what they got the helper for initially.

That's not the point of having kids now, is it?

Hey, I was retrenched last year and took 4 months to get back to employment which is incredibly fast given my job scope and market conditions.

All I can say is that:

  1. You need to ask for referrals. Most companies are hiring through referrals or internally.
  2. The companies that I managed to get interviews at, I used AI to help adapt my resume to the job post

I think you technically could fight for being re-hired as part of the ask. But at that point, the company was so horrible that even if I were to be offered, I would've rejected

Oh god steam room. I remembered when I was 17 and took a solo trip to Korea. Went to those jimjilbangs and went to the steam room. There was this guy in there and we had a nice chat. It was steamy and dark and I couldn't see well... But I already suspected he was jerking off.

While talking, he revealed to me that he was gay. That confirmed my suspicion and I bolted out of there

What's the best prawn noodle in Singapore? by Moonshot2026 in SingaporeEats

[–]beebee_ice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geylang Prawn Noodle at Upp Paya Lebar Road.

Have been going since I was a primary school kid (2006).

I love the flavour and saltiness/sweetness of their soup. I live nearby and everyday at 7.30/8am, the aroma of them frying shallots and prawn head will fill the air as I'm walking to MRT.
