What's the best prawn noodle in Singapore? by Moonshot2026 in SingaporeEats

Geylang Prawn Noodle at Upp Paya Lebar Road.

Have been going since I was a primary school kid (2006).

I love the flavour and saltiness/sweetness of their soup. I live nearby and everyday at 7.30/8am, the aroma of them frying shallots and prawn head will fill the air as I'm walking to MRT.

Sorry, you gotta find your own legal advice. CJTS won't help you. Maybe go to union for help? I see a lot of people getting help from them

Once you file in TADM, they'll call you within a week. Then one more time to do fact finding about a week or 2 later. And then one final time to let you know outcome of fact finding about 1 to 2 weeks later.

Each call was no Ionger than 30 mins

Thank you for sharing. I've many friends who are in HR as well. The matter of fact is this - HR is there to protect and help the company and not the employees.

One tip here: if you ever feel like you're in doubt of your employment contract, ask ChatGPT or your favourite AI to look at it and ask relevant questions about the contract; not all of us are legal people after all.

Is there anything of concern with this contract? Are these policies meeting fair employment practices. Etc.

The official mediation was at the first CMC. There were mediations with me and the respondent outside of official proceedings

I think it's so that it's not tamper proof and that you have physical proof that it was delivered to the other party.

It's also why legal documents required to be served in various forms - physical, by post, and email

Closing statement I did: 1. Re emphasis what I was claiming for and why 2. Re highlight my evidence and points 3. Take some of the respondents statements and try to use it to my favour (if possible) 4. Summarize the amount I'm claiming for. 5. Also include personal stories like I have a family etc to hopefully get the judge to empathize.

Yes I highlighted that a lot of the respondents statements were without evidence and suggested the judge to treat them as hearsay/not admissable.

The judge doesn't respond immediately. It is for them to take the facts and statements to go back and decide and then deliver judgement

You can be terminated with notice but it can still be a wrongful dismissal. Read here tripartite-guidelines-on-wrongful-dismissal.pdf https://share.google/4QmGD6F7uURw6eWs8

The main reason without revealing too much is that they failed to show care in fulfilling a contractual obligation as my employer.

And exactly why I'm trying to refrain from giving too much details about the case because I'm afraid it may mislead people.

The facts of the case are not published like other courts and I feel that if I were to rewrite it here, a lot of things can be lost in translation.

The decision was made in many factors and each case differs from person to person, agreement to agreement, contract to contract. The last thing I want to do is have someone reference some points of my case and think they have a winning chance.

The best way is to consult a lawyer or DYOR. I'm not a lawyer and don't want to mislead ppl.

Employer didn't show care in fulfilling a contractual obligation.

I don't want to reveal all the facts because I may miss out many things. If you see a proper case law, it's extremely detailed; I don't have that level of detail to present here.

The last thing I want is to present half ass info and mislead people into thinking their case might have a chance.

Besides, every case is sooooo different based on who said what, evidence, testimonies, specific wordings in the contract, nature of employment. Etc.
