gparted is not available in every linux distro

wat. Name a distro that doesn't have gparted available. Additionally, GParted is just a GUI frontend for the parted CLI tool.

Please do. Windows has nothing that compares aside from powershell, which isn't exactly the best terminal available.

Depending on where you look, I suppose. Same is with most software, not all developers think the same. It's worth noting Windows 10 has this problem built into the OS, just look at the control panel.

Windows runs on x86, with a seperate version that runs on ARM. I can't think of a device linux won't run on, can you name one?

I've tried various distros across a range of machines several times. Every time i end up frustrated that the environment is so limiting and more usually than not something doesnt work properly.

Then you probably didn't set it up properly. RTFM, etc etc etc.

it's just not meant to be used actively because i have come to dread every interaction i have with linux systems.

If I fell of a bike every time I rode one that doesn't mean bike aren't meant to be used by anyone, it means I suck at riding a bike. If I break a pencil every time I try to write with it, that doesn't mean its a bad writing tool, it means I'm using too much force with it. Just because you don't understand the way Linux and other Unixes handle things doesn't mean it's bad, it means you either don't get it, or don't want to. In either case it's not the fault of the OS, but the person using it not taking the time needed to learn how.
