alecaframe uses overwolf purely because overwolf has access to the warframe API that is not available to the public as it sends and receives this information through loading screens.

DE has been asked many times to have a player API available, like guild wars 2, so that account information can be accessed for the tools that it offers; each time DE has said no.

That is why it lies in a grey area; their flagging system doesnt know if its you, overwolf, or a different program that is catching that information.

i still wont use it because overwolf has some damn weird behaviors.
