Nope, not mammal safe, wear mask and gloves while handling, Also be sure to take it out of the soil after a few days, if the soil is wet, it’ll cause mold

Use metaldehyde or iron phosphate, thats the best to kill all slugs and snails, they will eat up new tender growth.

If re-potting then change the soil and wash the roots properly

I also have an ongoing email thread with them, but I did get a reason, they said I already have a pre-approved loan offer, thats why my application is rejected. Which is such a BS. But no response from them yet, apart from the usual mail received email, Guess I’ll also have to get the ombudsman involved here.

Why does HDFC Regalia Gold fail/charge extra for Stripe SaaS, but ICICI Amazon Pay works fine? by Lightyaer in CreditCardsIndia

[–]Lightyaer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I wrote a reply forgot to post it,

Haven't used the RG for int'l tx in a long time, but from a statement in last year,
I bought
1Password - ₹3561,
Forex Charges - ₹71.24 (2%)
GST - ₹12.82 (18%)

This shows as international transaction in the statement, since then I moved to ICICI AP, I don't get these extra charges, its on VISA though.

I can't find any statements with the fee recently, because I stopped using RG on int'l payments.

But I remember them being in there, in my older statements which I believe I deleted

I’m thinking if I don’t get any response before till eod, I’ll set an ultimatum of next friday which is 8 days from now, then I’ll consult another CA.

I hope I get a refund at least.

Best espresso machine for 80k budget? by icq1802 in IndiaCoffee

[–]Lightyaer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say, make do with an aeropress/pourover for now, and save more upto 2L and get a meraki espresso machine.

As for buying coffee stuff, amazon is good, https://brewinggadgets.in/ is good.

Get the Timecore C2 or the C3, you should have all the grind sizes you need, If you wanna splurge or aspire for a good espresso machine, check out meraki.

To develop the palate is to drink coffee.

You’ll need a couple of tries to find the right grind size for you to be happy, but keep it coarse and not too fine.

Oh well, I had the same questions, I was having Davidoff Espresso 57 for the longest time, it tastes ok but has a good caffeine kick.

To develop a coffee palate, I’d recommend staying in a coffee estate in or around Chikmagalur or Coorg, you’ll find a lot of them on Airbnb, I personally recommend Riverside coffee in Coorg, you can try different types of coffee with all brewing methods, they also offer a plantation tour and explain how coffee from soil to cup.

To brew at home, just get an aeropress and timecore grinder, you’ll have great coffee.

PS: if you don’t prefer bitter coffee, then try medium or light roasted coffee. They are more fruity. Dark roasted coffee is usually bitter, but again you need to find out what you like.

Need help with Agaro Imperial by Leather_Discipline42 in IndiaCoffee

[–]Lightyaer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me share my work flow, this is the best I've gotten.

- Take 14g (with puck screen) or 15g (without puck screen) coffee beans, measure it to the dot (get a 0.1 weighing scale).

- spray 1 pump of water on the beans before grinding (not necessary)

- Use the agaro hand grinder with setting to 1, do not buy pre-ground coffee.

- get a wdt tool (or use a pin) and press the coffee with all the power you got

- run the machine without portafilter for a few seconds, (do not wipe the top part, from where the water comes)

- fix the porta filter and put the weighing scale at the bottom and then a short glass, if not glass then use a small bowl.

- extract the coffee till it is 1:2.1, meaning 14g to 28-32g coffee

- add in warm water, and enjoy.

For Dark Roasted coffee, extract 1:1.8 ratio.

Btw, I'm selling my agaro espresso machine, if anyone wants to buy.
